tests and a whole lotta shenanigans so subscribe and ring the bell daily top performance ok there's a lot that goes into that so although the 911 turbo s is an absolute nut when it comes to speed i think the r8 has a fighting chance because speed is shallow and there's more to it than that as you know it looks good that's pretty shallow but im ready ing for this one because listen ok james put me on the 911 because to be honest I'm not totally sold on turbocharged 911s I think they better be a little slower a little worse and a little more aspiration Natural, but that's like me saying I don't like poutine without going to Quebec and trying the right version because that's what this is in terms of turbocharged 911s. daily livability outlook in normal mode it's smooth it's predictable it's comfortable maybe there's a little bit of

noise and it's a little choppy over potholes but that's because when you put it in sport plus it can do this in any type of maneuver you whatever you do in traffic this car will let you do it you think of something you want to do and the car will let you do it in any corner at any speed at any time and it just crushes it it's crazy and i've never been in a car this fast where visibility and t ease of use and ergonomics are not compromised and you can also store stuff in the back from a daily habitability perspective this car with that ridiculous engine behind me is just an insane combination ok we'll behave for a minute comfort mode ok thomas was talking about ride and we've driven both today and we're testing them as much as we can and this is hands down a better j or car to drive the 911 is more flexible you're not going to be apologizing to your passenger nearly as much for the jolts and bumps and for the most part it's quieter here until you do that because where the 911 and r8 differ vastly is a my foot i have a lamborghini activation pedal which when applied activates the screaming v10 behind me in fact the only way it can be better is if it was on the spider and some might see it differently but one of my absolute favorite things about the r8 and what makes it so cool is that it has this amazing ability to become just a car you could fool yourself around town or on the road into thinking this is just an audi tt or even an audi a4 is just calm and collected the only question so if this is the winner on the road in terms of comfort can it come to life when pushed to the limit?

I don't even know where you were. You were completely behind me. im sweating im sweating now and its cold today luckily we got the chance to test these cars at their limits today track time now the last time we were on this track in an audi was the rs6 and indeed in the audi the website says that the audi rs6 has almost 600 horsepower i know you're thinking almost 600 how can it be almost 600 because it's not that much like 600 and they're trying to avoid saying 5? Good news is it's over 600 and it's got a little button down here with a racing flag on it and when I push it I go into performance mode and the performance it has in North America gets 602 horsepower which is 38 less than the turbo, but thanks to no turbochargers it's 5.2 liter naturally aspirated v10 absol utely laments and it's just as easy to handle that power on the track as it is on the highway thanks to its dual-clutch transmission Seven speed which is a fun transmission the upshifts are so aggressive if you let it get to redline otherwise it's really smooth and the engine oh the engine don't get me wrong I have a lot of love for the 911s flat 6. by the naturally aspirated v10 i mean this car almost had it in the bag from the start because of that typical audi steering precise light maybe too light even in highest performance mode but that precision i have said before created by archers this and the predictability of power because of that naturally aspirated i stay high on the revs i put my foot down puts a smile on my face a bit of mid engine understeer there is a reason this engine too It's in a Lamborghini and there's a reason this Decenio version is celebrating 10 years because it's really something to celebrate 8500 rpm The Virtua gauge cluster flashes at me every time I need to change the suspension.

This is very compatible. This is a bumpy track. We have a bumpy track and this car just takes it like a boss. so as far as sports cars go it's obviously very accurate to say I've tracked that 911 and this isn't as buttoned up it's a little softer it doesn't it doesn't run as a full track car the way it does feel with the 911 its suspension definitely leans more towards the road so if that's where your priorities are it will do it in spades and yet if you want to take it to the

track so you can experience it at the speeds it's capable of you absolutely can and by the way I'm talking over 200 miles per hour this car can do it so the 911 is faster but this is just as fast and because of the engine you can experience more without going to ten tenths if it were me. i think i would probably pick the spider i dont need to see a clue in this i just need to see a sunny day and the roof down and that engine closer to us cause when we drove the lamborghini huracan spider it came to life what a car what a car alright Unsurprisingly this car is ridiculously stupid crazy impossible to comprehend fast. in a straight line it's probably the fastest car I've ever driven in third quarter every gear feels the same but that's not really my concern you see the thing is there's more to a car than just knocking out ridiculous fourth quarter times of miles, especially a sports car and on the highway anyway this is too quiet it's too easy it doesn't scare you it doesn't make things hard it doesn't inspire you to be a better driver it just does it all for you you can almost make no mistake, for That we're on a track because I want to know if I turn everything off we're in sport plus mode we're shifting manually the pdk by the way it's crazy what does this car do? light my socks on fire rear engine 911s kind of bi No different than what I'm used to so there goes the boy oh yeah holy g forces are absolutely absurd and you turn and wait for the rear end to kick Turn around and you get a little bit of that rear engine oomph.

I like that 3.8 liter flat 6 twin turbocharged engine it's ridiculous there it goes actually there's a lot of turbo lag don't let anyone tell you there's no turbo lag in this there's but you know what that 930 turbo we drove that intro this reminds me of that because he did the exact same thing back then that he does now he's like oh okay okay and then we didn't talk much about fractions on throttle nine tenths ten tenths eleven tenths what does that mean? It means that to get emotion out of this car I'm driving it at ten tenths of the absolute limit of what this car can do and to be completely honest with you, it's costing me every ounce of skill I have because this car is completely tame until it's not. oh my gosh he's kind of like john wick subtle calm keeps to himself he doesn't bother anyone but if you piss him off he'll take out a whole section of the mob throw him away the more i push the more the car rewards me and when you get it right and use the mass of the engine behind you and put it on a turbocharged fuel drift it really becomes a proper sports car the problem is i had to drive it like that to really enjoy it on the road its just too good and The engine though powerful just sounds like an angry vacuum cleaner which is why I think the car for me is still the GT3 what makes a good Porsche it's not outright speed that makes a Porsche good to good is the interesting balance of the chassis and the potential that somewhere in the lineup is a car with an engine that can almost bring you to tears and that's what the gt3 is and i can't wait to drive the 992 gt3 like i drove the generation above is amazing and i think with this chassis this interior these skills and these capabilities in a car wit h a high revving naturally aspirated flat six yes thats where i am so dont get me wrong the 992 turbo s is a absolutely amazing engineering masterpiece it's technically perfect in every way but i don't think it's for me so thomas jumped in the audi to see if that was more his style while i gave the porsche a quick blast before we stopped for talk about style it's ridiculously fast isn't it ridiculous it's so stupid i like it i love it it just breaks physics create g forces create like yeah i can't believe how fast this is still very fast this it looks like it should be fast it doesn't really look like a supercar you know apart from the input obviously yes we'll get to the aesthetic stuff but i mean this is ok i'd rather have this over huracan i think honestly ah this is smoother this it's more like an audi than i thought it would be on the track it didn't quite come alive i mean the engine is there but there's a smoothness while and i think that's where the hurricane wins i would find the money if ya give me no i dont disagree because i dont think the huracan is really that exciting on the track they have the same kind of engine keep in mind and they are both just ok audis so this for me with the livability of whatever and the interior space is very nice it is very livable it is very however when it comes to livability it absolutely wins we just said the ride this is the ride is better but there is more than just the ride james i have a demo what i have planned ok are you ready would you mind opening the front of the 911 for me i feel like i'm this dirty assistant right now yeah you're ok here we go ready oh he's transmitting i got it got it got a very important point to make, we are in the middle of a field. but wait, what are you complaining about?
I complain about it. The fact that if you have a friend or a spouse or anyone else who is interested in traveling with you, I've never run into that problem. fair ok yeah that's one that's one and minus min difference and there's rear seats and there's actually room behind the seats yes but but what there's no rear can you see your engine? what are you talking about? can you see your engine? what does that mean? oh oh yeah it opens up and this also opens up so you can see it even better than through the glass which is so cool I know I know there's a wing and stuff and it's the turbo but like and this it's covered in matte bronze which is not gold, that's matte bronze, not bronze because it's the cenium version, the decade, so what comes with the decade?
Well let me take you back 10 years no audio bailey with the tails they're celebrating v10 so they did a special edition they did 222 decades ok ok right andthis is number 82 and actually when you open the door it shows on the floor the number decade which is oh really it has these. 20 years like night in the night yes it has these 20 inch milled wheels although yes they match the motor balls. every country that got them i think there's like 15 in canada yeah it's got a specific color so like us it's all they're all mythical black but in canada we have gray kamora i like this because there's like a flake red metal on the paint yeah it's really nice I think in terms of the play of colors the porsche is doing pretty well I mean it's chalky I love it sorry chalky chalky that's like the fanciest british accent and then all of a sudden you put on blinders. word Chuck oh that's shocking how did the queen say you're the chalk? a supercar this looks more like a supercar absolutely looks more like a supercar but i will say there are aspects of this design i really don't like i don't like this kind of thing like vent here i thought the previous generation r8 looked better than this and i think as a silhouette in a way the 911 looks better however this one wins because of the flash supercar stuff on the descenium version it has the wheels it has the carbon fiber it has the blue it has some serious oh cool yeah no this wins in terms of presence for money well the 911 is the most understated supercar yeah you don't know why because it looks like every other 911 but we said look at the intake on the side that has the high intake , yes the intake means yo it's a turbo that means like the italians say it has it's one it's a spicy meatball i think it's a spicy meatball i was trying to avoid that intake means don't mess with that porsche yes no You're going to miss as we found out about the interiors, yes, is it a supercar inside the 911? example you get this really cool center stud it says turbo and you know there's the chrome yeah but it reminds you I like the white label I like it I think it's really really cool it goes with the white sports club chrono yeah ok so there's some fun stuff and we've pointed this out in other Porsche

s but for people who have never seen this review before I should point out that no matter where you put the steering wheel you can't see the outside gauges james you just can't i get this concept i feel like i'm missing something you need it in the spirit of porsche it's a body it's a body system i need you i know if i would spend it it's 380 bucks what would you spend money on i would spend money on that because that's right they look great i've seen more expensive crests that are worse than this made sense yes i would take them because they look fantastic speaking of options here's an interesting one everyone in the 992 generation hates this little picker pdk gears because the standard version looks like a leg shaver yeah this is upgraded for 850 bucks milled aluminum it's here it's for speed it's for speed i don't care about this because it's automatic what were the alternate buttons well it's funny because in the uh in the uh the 992 gt3 have gone to a gear selector complained quite a lot but in the 902 g3 look It's like a manual shifter yeah no exactly there are people who complain about this stupid little thing huh right oh suffocation seatbelt chalk clogged it's chalky choking cheese anyway I really like this interior personally I think it doesn't have enough pizzazz to be how much money is this car this is open to 260. 260 dollars it's Germanic it's how it is it's dramatic it's supposed to be oh yes from a system oh it's very good the seat is amazing the driving position is amazing I like everything it's so well done well as if everything was so was rte, those back seats are playing on definition seats, yeah, but they flatten out so you can store stuff in there, so it becomes this, this becomes one huge cavernous storage space, okay?
So what's up? Don't listen in terms of usability I think this just wins over the r8 does it though we should absolutely absolutely go yeah but I don't think it wins out on flirting ok let's see talk about cavernous storage look that, I think boom, okay? There's nothing, no, just forget it, admit it, this is more of a supercar cockpit, this is much more of an occasion, like looking at the roof here with the seams, oh, this is cool, it's so low, this is a little bit of cheat because it's got some stop stuff going on okay so it's got the cenio badge on there it's got copper stitching on here you know the whole road has this on there a leather noon marker on here yeah right i dont think i would go for the descendant unless you are in love with the idea and they are obviously sold now but if you were to buy a r8 v10 performance it ends up being cheaper than the 911s um from here only from here i would take this over the 911 i think this is much more exciting like the steering wheel is full supercar like hanging down like tuning stuff this is the dash layout i was wondering where you'll name them yeah well i didn't have a proboscis, is what I usually do. use and that is the word you said it does not exist and by the way I remember saying who is going to believe you um it is very calm fiber is covering the cabinets I think it is very good no, really the seats are very comfortable and the most important thing is a daily supercar test right there's so much space here yeah we spend time in the hurricane and when you're in the hurricane you feel like that well the hurricane spider the top of this one the windshield is at eye level so you have to go. i like this to see yeah or a crowd i'll be honest right no this is like a bunch of bedrooms you could easily be six foot and sit in a r8 well oddly enough the audi's now in the new aldi they're obsessed with screens everything is a screen and yeah it's weird to be on one like this yeah well I mean give them time it's just the virtual cockpit below it's okay down here yeah no I know that this is very clean and very simple I really like it and it has no gear stick yeah yeah what doesn't appeal to them in this is weird though right because this is what you use to control but then it controls it unlike of the screen that is in the center here, yes, but you, yes, exactly, there is no center, there is no center screen, yes, so Apple Carplay appears here. yes, it's a bit strange, but also great at the same time, it's a new vision, it's a new position, no, there's not much more to say here, can I say a special hello? this is driver focused i think the new corvette c8 has done very well not to imitate but like their own brand for much cheaper i think the c8 deserves a shout out i absolutely agree and in terms of what you get per dollar in terms of livability the c8 is right up there if you study the trim on the ca and the seams it doesn't come close no no but i mean yeah i agree the c8 is definitely a card to honestly consider but the thing is most people who buy these We ain't buying c8s right no no they don't consider this is the ultimate this is yes these are the best daily supercar stuff and we should come to a conclusion and figure out which one we would choose yep ok after the day thomas and i agreed if forced to ignore the much cheaper but still awesome 911 carrera s and regular r8 v10 which are almost every daily sports car.
