2020 Cadillac CT6 Premium Luxury with Super Cruise Review

This is my favorite sedan and Cadillac so starting with the exterior of the CT-6 I think this is a great looking sedan. I think this is the most attractive car on the road. this car the ct-6 originally came out in 2016 they updated it in 2019 and added new headlights and taillights as well as a few other smaller things but i think this is a very very nice looking sedan now that They revamped it. It looks very, very sporty and luxurious at the same time the previous CT-6 didn't do as well. Taking a look at the headlights that Cadillac redid.

I love the way they look now, they look much simpler than before, but they still look great. It keeps the same signature styling that they had it was also another strip that went away to the side horizontally and I think that's what really makes this car look aggressive but sporty and really makes it look like nothing else is on the road but what What's interesting is if the taillights in the rear really mimic the headlights here, of course they have the Cadillac vertical lights, but they also have little light sections that go to the middle, which really makes the car It looks great, the headlights are also the only things that make the car look aggressive and really luxurious.

I like the curves and the different grill inlets it has on the front of the bumper. I think it looks very interesting that Cadillac designed it this way. I love how it looks. Looking at the front of this car, you can see that on the grille there are Cadillac logos on the grille and in a bunch of different places. I think it's really unique that Cadillac does that and it shows off there's a lot of the little Cadillac shine on the front end really cool so taking another look at the grille here if you look at the Cadillac logo you can see it's a normal logo like what you would think would be a Cadillac logo if you've seen my 2017 XTS although that logo was actually a sticker and that's because the radar system was behind it so they had to make it different with a different material to make it happen, but Cadillac was smart and they actually decided to move that radar system here. on the bottom of the bumper here so it's a place where people wouldn't really notice there's something different there but I liked that they did because it freed up a nice spot for a normal looking logo which I really like another quirk with the grill here is really hard to see but there are actually little air deflectors inside and those really divert air away from the car to help get better fuel economy if you're on the highway and there's a computer that monitors that to try get the best mileage you can so turn back and forth to try and block the air when Han let's take a look at the front panel here you can see there's a Cadillac logo on there but of course it's missing its color it's as silver it has a shiny silver look to it and i like that it looks different than the normal logo so it is unique but i would like to put this here because

has been putting their logo on the side of their cars for a long time.

If you look at my 1999 Fleetwood Limited on the side of the car and the vinyl there's actually a Cadillac logo on there so they've kept up this tradition in an interesting way so you can see it's a Cadillac from the side and they Lo i've done for a long time so taking a look at the back of the ct six of course here are the taillights which i love the look of but just enough that we can see there's obviously a ct-6 logo here . wheel drive and the number 400 there but i'll get to that in a minute but

has really only put ct-6 here in the rear they haven't put it anywhere else on the car even if you look to the side or the front you can just find the ct-6 name on the back here which is really interesting that Cadillac chose to do that now another part of the update that Cadillac added was this chrome strip that runs along the side of the trunk here along the rear of it actually makes the trunk stand out visually which the previous ct-6 didn't do as well I don't think so but it really makes the trunk stand out and I think it makes the rear of this car looks unique but also very very love the way it looks it's very well done my Cadillac the car has ct-6 it has four exhaust tips i think it really shows its sporty side makes it look like it's a really interesting and fast car and of course it sounds fantastic too so taking a closer look at the number 400 here Cadillac actually added that to show the torque the car makes this is actually not pound-feet like you would Wait, like most normal cars, Cadillac really decided to put this on.

Newton meters which is actually what electric cars mean for torque so Cadillac is actually going to go electric over the next decade and I think I decided to start moving now by changing the numbers so people don't get confused when they change their torque numbers when electric cars arrive is an interesting decision but I guess I can see why they did it just to not surprise people when electric cars finally arrive so looking under the hood of the CT 6 we can see the engine 3.6 liter V6 and this engine puts out about 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque so it's quite a dynamic engine but it gets the job done it's not extremely powerful but it's still quiet and very good for This type of car, as well as making a decent amount of power for this car, the CT-6 actually gets decent mileage for its size. i'm going to start the car and show you guys the engine note the

deluxe ct-6 does such a nifty quirk about the hood release that when you pull the latch it says pull double small 2x there so you can pull That latch twice and then when you actually open the hood you don't have to push any buttons to open it you just pull up and it opens for you very easy and very well the Cadillac does that for you.

Look at the headlights here, it actually says Cadillac across the top, here in the chrome. I think it's a little unique quirk that Cadillac added the name on there for who knows who would ever see the Hat, but it's kind of cool that they decided to put their name on there just to show a little bit of the Cadillac as a really cool thing for Cadillac is Something they don't actually have, which is a fuel cap, luckily they got rid of what they don't have. that so you can make filling your car really very easy when you go to fill it up but another thing I really like about these fuel doors is that it actually locks with the car so no one can tamper with it if you have your cars sitting on the parking lot or wherever you go something i really love about this car is that it has four wheel steering now many cars have ready but the rear wheels actually turn when you turn the front wheels how does this work if you go slow enough maybe in a parking lot trying to park, the wheels will actually turn opposite to the front wheels, it's actually a lower turning radius of the car, however they are on the road.

I'll take a look at the Cadillac keyring here for the ct- 6 have you seen my xt esper you know you really like this keyring? it really feels good it has some nice rubber on it nice chrome accents very nice design it has some weight to it that really makes it feel very luxurious and

so i got a very nice design. I like it a lot. on the side to pull out an actual physical key to get into the car if your remote dies so i really like this remote also is that it has keyless entry which is a fantastic system it really makes getting in and out easy everything what you have to do is whenever you have the key fob in your pocket just walk to the door you can push the handle and unlock it or if you push the button again it will lock again so its really easy to get in and out of the car without having to get the remote key out so luckily Cadillac thought about what would happen if the remote key dies but what you can do is remove a section of the door handle here with your key that you take off your key ring and then you can put that key fob inside a slot in the center console and the car will detect it and then you can use the starter button to start the car something really cool that the Cadillac does is they have their door handles light up at night so you can see them easily and maybe you can see your car in the dark and it also makes it stand out in the dark a very nice Cadillac feature so take a look inside the ct6 this specific model has an interesting color combination where it's kind of tan on black interior and i think it really stands out on the interior of this car it is absolutely beautiful most of the materials are very good this is a premium

luxury

model although not all of the materials are as good as you would get in the Platinum but still very good for the money and i love the way it looks something else i love about this car at night is there are some really nice lights inside the car under the woodwork and even on the Rear end is also very nice to see that Cadillac looks very premium, so getting into the CT-6 and sitting in the driver's seat is very comfortable.

It has a fair amount of bolstering, but not so much that you still feel like I can be comfortable in these seats and able to go on long road trips. I think this car is designed to be more look-a-like than overly sporty, but in this premium

luxury

model, of course, you have a seat. controls on the door both long and lumbar but it doesn't have the same boost controls that a platinum ct-6 would have now one thing i wish this premium luxury model would have was massaging seats that's something you can get on the finish Platinum, but for the money you're spending on this car, that's a good amount, around eighty thousand dollars, depending on what kind of options you have, but I wish it didn't have the massage features. and maybe some boost controls too but that's ok this car doesn't come with that you can still upgrade to the platinum model to get that now something these seats do is actually the headrests move back and forth from the push of a button and it also moves up and down which is pretty normal standard but I like how it moves back and forth so it's another way to get comfortable so taking a closer look at the door of course it's very nice it has a has a lot of buttons we have your seat controls there instead of on the side of the seat we also have seats with memory memory for two as well as an exit function and the The passenger door even has memory seats which I find very nice.

It's just right that they have that and of course all four windows are auto up and down which is a nice feature to have in a fancy car. It really shows how a Cadillac pays attention to the nice little things you expect in a luxury luxury car but with good wood trim good chrome handle very good materials so taking a closer look at the steering wheel here this is a very important part of the car because this is what the driver sees all the time and feels and touches i find it very comfortable in my hands it feels good the leather is very soft the buttons look great to me they are all easy for me to reach and any section i need push don't really have the piano plastic that most Cadillacs have had for a though they got rid of that because people complained about fingerprints and whatnot but they still look great and I think they run well they have good groups.

, while the buttons on the right, like the select button and the up and down arrows, control the gauge cluster along the way. you see it also has some other buttons down here like to skip tracks or for security feature that turns them on and off including a very well designed heated steering wheel I really like the steering wheel beautiful wood on it nice chrome accents it's very real and i love it like the way it looks no quirks with the steering wheel that you might have noticed when looking at the interior here is there's actually a black piece of plastic or glass on top here on the rim and actually that's for the system

super

cruise that some Cadillacs have these days is actually a hands free self drive feature and what this does is it lets you know by the colors green or red or blue if the super cruise system is working or on or not , and there's also a camera up here watching you. make sure you look at the road and then you can drive hands free with the system and I'll show you this a little bit later when I take the car for a spin so looking behind the wheel herewe have a couple different stock here the right one controls the rain sensing wipers so they have an auto mode or low or high or you can just leave it on auto so it actually moves and so on on the left we have controls for the headlights which the headlights adaptive that will actually turn your high beams on automatically at night if there's no one in front of you or turn them off when there's someone in front of you so it's a really neat system you have simple controls there for those things now taking a look at the gauge cluster, what I really like about these is that it's a totally full screen, there are no actual physical gauges which I like because that means you can change different sections of the screen to customize it however you want.

Using the select button on the steering wheel, as well as the arrows, I can move between three different parts of the screen to show different things, like my fuel range or my compass. It's also nice to see a trip has meters as well as a normal gauge if I wanted to and my clearance distance for cruise control and speed limit stuff like that and in between I can also change what I see there between just a normal needle or i can see a night vision of course this car has a very good safety feature and i can see my hourly bow and speed limits very well to the right i can see a lot of the same as far as my bluetooth or my navigation as well as normal music and needles if you wanted likes or options things like those very nice Cadillac things no other great feature this car has at night is night vision there is actually a night vision camera in the front of the car for that you can see animals or things on the road at night that you might not be able to see normally, so I think it's a cool feature for them to have things so easy to see at night.

Now something that's really nice about this car is when I start the engine of course you get a nice little gauge. show there and if i could just say the steering wheel and seat automatically moved to my starting position which is really nice and then when i turn the car off and get out of the wheel i see they automatically move to my starting position so i can get out easily from that so the CT 6 has a head up display and they actually have buttons here to control them on the side you have a different button where you can adjust the height or brightness and you also have an info button there that you can scroll for different things like a compass or your rpm or your bluetooth or navigating a lot of different things that you can see on your windshield so you don't have to look down at your commitments is a really nice safety feature you can also adjust the tilt, it is really an interesting feature.

I can see why they have it, just so you don't have to be able to see much behind you much easier and the nice thing is the camera is really high definition so it really isn't hard. say what you're looking at for the infotainment system here Cadillac has a really big 10 inch screen which I really like it's really easy to see things on it and especially directions if you need to do it very well I'm glad it has a big screen but there's lots of different ways to control this Cadillac added these different buttons and levers here too which was new for the ct6 update of course it has a volume knob which a lot of people were really happy with and I'm happy about that too it makes changing the volume so much easier than just using the slider and of course it has controls for the music and maybe your different navigation items as well and the cell phone is very nice to use and very easy to understand so what this ct-6 comes with is the newest version of cue from cadillac.

In fact, I like it a lot. This screen here is incredibly responsive. It's almost like you're using a tablet as usual. its weather and navigation has many different apps you can download different news sources but very good signal system everything works great the maps even seem to be extremely responsive and easy to use love it especially its easy to use with these new buttons and stuff here on the center console very nice system I think it's very nicely improved over the original PUE system that Cadillac released a really cool feature with the ct-6 that's a lot of camera angles to choose from I mean just there are so many of course they have a normal roof down and of course you can see behind you but there are many more other than that of course you can see your front bumper see how close you are to a curb or something that You can see a little bit higher Other than that we have a lot of different views here it's just amazing the different things that Cadillac has added to this car to make it easier to park or move very smart for them to do.

I love the way it looks and another feature that Cadillac adds with their cameras they have different guidelines here on the side of the car in addition to the normal backup camera with the guide lines it also has one on the side here which will be displayed on the front of your car we'll go when it starts to turn in a certain direction it's amazing the kind of thing that Cadillac has added to this car to add the different camera views and stuff so take a look at the internet screen here actually there are a few different buttons and features we can look for here there are actually various parking features with the car will park on the left you can see there is a P as well as some lines and some areas there so it's for parallel parking or other types of parking situations you can look for a spot and actually park it yourself but to the right you see there's a little button that says glove box well this car doesn't actually have one regular stick on the club box for some reason cadillac thought it would be fancier to have an actual button for it to open but all i have to do is push the glove box button on the glove box it opens for you but unfortunately you have to close it yourself so to show you the gear selector here is a very interesting design this is one of the updates that Cadillac brought with the 2019 ct6 and it's also here on the

2020

ct-6 it's like a BMW style shifter it's very interesting it has a button on the side and of course you can pull it back to go drive or maybe another Ford space for neutral or all the way forward for reverse but to put it in park all you have to do is press this little button at the top and that will put it in park for you it's a very cool system it's something I've taken a bit of getting used to with all the jacks but it's easy to use once you get the hang of it.

Got used to it so taking a look at the front of the gear selector here we have controls for your climate on the front of the car of course. buttons to adjust your temperature or you can even have push buttons and the black plastic here for your heated seats or to control different things like the rear defroster a front defroster defroster is very very nice they should have buttons they are easy to use and i like the way it looks something that's really nice about the ct-6 is that it has different drive modes to choose from it has a mode button here that you can press in front of you is a gear selector you can choose between travel or track or snow and ice so it's a good way to have a maybe safer drive if you have bad weather or just to be more spirited the car will know you also have an auto hold feature here you can push that button here and it will indeed stop your car automatically like a traffic light so you don't have to keep your foot on the brake.

It's great that the Cadillac added that it touches a bit less work for the driver to have to when it comes to storage. Cadillac has a lot of different places for you to put things of course you have a center console where it's pretty deep you have a good amount of space but you can even plug your phone in there if you want and keep it there or you can have it go through this hole at the front where you can have a cup cubby for your phone and you can charge it at the same time while using apple carplay wherever you want but there is also good space in the doors and front The doors here are very deep enough room for umbrellas and other things you may need.

We also have cup holders in front of the center console here, and of course a rather large glove box, so when you take a closer look at the center console, you can see that it's double. Hinged, it opens toward the driver or toward the passenger. I think this is a really smart idea for Cadillac to make it easy for the person on the right or left side of the car to open it up and get such nice interior lights. simple to understand and not too much stuff but it's a good Cadillac design so possibly my favorite feature of the ct-6 and it's also a bit quirky is the tray or a system this is a fantastic sounding sound system from Bose, it's actually an option on the CT six, it's going to have a total of 34 speakers inside the car, so it's a true surround sound system which is fantastic.

I love the way it sounds but my favorite thing about the panoramic beam system is that when you start the car there is a speaker that rises right out of the dash it is so luxurious and top notch looks so good my favorite one of my favorite quirks on this car just a few unexpected touches i love to see on cadillac but the pantry system is fantastic sounds great it's awesome the cadillac has a total of 34 horns horns on this car and on the side of the door here it is we'll see i have several buttons here for our heated seats the platinum version of the CT six also comes with cooled seats in the rear but this one doesn't but we do have some buttons here for the rear sun visor as well as the roof cover slider here for me they also have different events like normal kind of as you would expect surprise it's actually buns on the ceiling in the nice section you could have here blowing in your face and stuff and of course you can adjust your climate control you have four zone climate control on this car so I can adjust my side of the car here and with the buttons up here as well as the temperature and which way the air is blowing and they also have nice sun shades here on the side but luckily it's manual but that's ok I left it on the button so in the back seat Cadillac of course has two screens for each person back here and I like how but Cadillac has given us this remote here to control them and of course you have a lot of you have a power button, a home button and the home button screen response buttons but very easy to understand like a remote no not normally It happens, maybe in your own house, but there's something unique at the bottom, here's a switch with a weird little square that you can control. the left or right screen to control the right and I'm going to do that you can control whatever screen you're on and then you press the power button on the screen it lifts off the seat for you and tilts back you're going to wear the tilt of the screen even automatically you can go to the home phone button and then you can go back to the screen tilt bring things very impressive you can even see the screen in the front and say if you have your navigation up you can go of this screen up front you can mirror it so you can see which directions you're going if you have a controller up front very awesome tech here of course you've got some HDMI and USB ports here on the side of the seat which is cool place but you can plug in your phone through which you can watch a little youtube video or something on the screen very very cool the only thing this car is missing in the back seat but you can get sets of outlets in the middle of the back seat, also adding cadillac and a 12 volt outlet here on the side as well as another usb type-c and a regular usb port as well so those in the back seat are also given cadillac nice headphones here that you can listen on your own in the back if you don't want to bother the driver by having your movie play all over the car you can put them on they are really comfortable they have nice buttons on them you can change the volume of course , and maybe listen to the radio if you want.

I'm going to take a look at the trunk here and it comes with about fifteen point eight cubic feet of space which is pretty good it's a deeper trunk it's got enough room to maybe put some suitcases or whatever you have for trips a good amount of space and you have a tab here to open it up and you can get to a spare tire which is nice to see ininstead of just a tire repair kit very nice to have you will still have a couple lights to see in there as well as some books to maybe tie things up a lot of space but my favorite thing is that the trunk sits closes alone. which is now really clever part of Cadillacs my favorite quirk about the trunk is there's actually a sensor in the back here wherever you kick under it will actually open the trunk and you'll get stuff so if you've got your hands you can't push the button you just kick under the trunk where there is a sensor and you won't notice it and you can also do that to close it but the best thing is that at night it actually shows a Cadillac emblem on the ground where you kick so that easy to see very good attention to detail and i'm glad cadillac got that right so im driving the

ct6 and soon i'll be on the freeway to show you guys the super cruiser that's why i'm most excited about i haven't done that before , but I have an idea how to drive it normally.

It is a very comfortable car. It's smooth definitely not hard like a V or a V Sport would be so it's a bit more of a scare for highway driving or just normal everyday driving but it can still be sporty if you have to have paddles metal shifter which I like and of course you can put it in sport mode so you can use those things it's still a very solid car so it still feels good cornering which I like so It has a nice luxurious side but also a sporty side which I like and of course the seats are actually very comfortable even though I don't have massage seats in this car it still vibrates for example if I go over center line or if there's a person in front of or behind me it will vibrate and alert me there's someone there it's a watch where i go very good safety features and as far as visibility I can see everything pretty well.

I also like the design of the mirrors, especially your side. It seemed chunky but they're also big enough to see around me pretty well and of course the mirror on the camera takes a bit of getting used to but with all the adjustability you can do with it I think it just it takes time to get used to looking at a screen. Than a mirror but overall a very comfortable car to drive normally. I like the way it feels even with four wheel steering it really makes it feel like a smaller car than it really is so you get the size but also maybe a bit of sportiness you might want or luxurious very well done by cadillac there's another really cool feature the cg6 has it's got seat belt pretensioners here so when you get going it gives it a little tug to make sure your seat belt is tight so This car has adaptive cruise control which is really nice.

I showed you the radar system on the front of the car earlier, but it's very easy to use. All I have to do is hit my set button here and then I can set my cruise control system to whatever speed I want it will automatically slow down or speed up according to the cars in front of me but it's easy to see it's on in my gauges or on the heads up display it turns green there and of course I can set it to 1 mph or even 5 by pushing the button a little harder so Cadillac is very smart to be able to do that and the system works fantastic so i really like it and another great security. feature said it has lane keep assist I was a bit disappointed that if you've seen my XTS video that the XTS didn't have lane keep assist it just had a warning in other words it wouldn't turn the steering wheel but here if I go to the line it will actually turn it around a bit and keep me on track so Cadillac is very smart to have that so Carl still has side blind zone alert and that's just a little system and it has a radar sensor on the side of the car to know when cars are approaching you in a lane; it will actually turn on a little light in the mirror telling me there is a car there and not to turn to help save.

Based on fuel economy this car also has auto start so if you come to a stop sign stop sign or traffic light, it will automatically shut off the engine to help us save gas, and then restart when you put your foot down. It does take the brake off but that can be a bit of a pain for some people so luckily there's a button to turn it off right next to this screen here and you just press that to turn it off however you have to do it every time you start the car , which can be a bit annoying, but it's a good way to save fuel, so I'm going to show you the super cruise and I've never used it before, this will be my first time too. we're going to do this together but right now a gray steering wheel icon has come up in the gauge cluster here and that will tell me that it's actually ready to go so I can hit this button here which will activate it and I can taking my hands off the wheel and the bar turned green here that tells me the super cruise is working but what cadillac has done is they actually hired a company to ride CT sixes I believe in the sensor I guess I'll use lidar is what's it called which I guess is an accurate radar system that can detect this car it's a really interesting system how they used it but it can actually tell where the car is so they had to scan thousands of miles of highway to be able to use this system and sorry this is great but so the CT six can stay in the lane without you having to keep your hands on the wheel so right now if my cruise control is set everything what you have to do is sit here like I'm a passenger so this is also cool so amazing it's kind of scary to almost not have to hold the wheel but um that's just awesome I mean doable As long as you don't have to do anything. it stops almost to stay on the highway and keep going until it's done or unless if I get to a construction zone the system automatically shuts off or even um if you say if you fall asleep I hope you don't but um say if you fall asleep with the system, it will know that it will actually stop the car and turn on the hazards and call OnStar for you and by the way you need to have OnStar for the system to work so you can make a phone call and it will call someone to help you but there is a camera here that watches my eyes, even if i have sunglasses on, it has a special camera that can still see me, it will actually watch my eyes.

I'm sure looking at the road. This is such a cool experience and incredible technology that is the essence of Cadillac. I can not believe it. We went, we did a little loop there too and then this company right in the lane. Is incredible. how to still stay centered and turn the wheel when i don't need to so that's a really awesome feature i'm just in awe of it yeah that's so weird it's almost like when you're on the road sometimes it's kind of fun to take the hand take hand off the rope go for a second but this is really unrealistic i almost want to say it's amazing the cadillac has this system where you can take your hands off the steering it goes absolutely amazing ok so to change lanes with super cruise , you actually have to do this yourself, you have to turn your turn signal on, then you have to turn your steering wheel to the other lane, as you can see the light turn blue, which means it's disengaging, but still it's ready to go then once you're in another lane turn turn signal off Center turn green again turn on the camera is so accurate even if you had to turn your head you'd still be able to tell that my eyes aren't looking at it so it'll shut down the system in a heartbeat Gaby no I guess just for science's sake I'll close my eyes and see if the system blinks or not and I should probably just rattle my seat and also do a system T noise activating yeah there we go and now it's flashing red to me so it's time I gotta take action so I took the wheel now turn the system off so that's awesome now you know that if i push that button again i turn right again on the signals Green is green again so now i can go ahead and use the absolutely amazing system while driving the ct-6 at night when you turn the corner when you turn the steering wheel, There's actually a cornering light that comes on and headlight assemblies to show you exactly what you're turning into.

It's so interesting that Cadillac has that kind of light hidden in the headlights to show you where you're going when you turn, too. while driving at night, the rear camera mirrors actually still pretty easy to see, you can also adjust the brightness to be dimmer or brighter if needed, but still easy to see like a normal mirror on the back back there's something behind you So I'm happy with that. I'm also glad that the super cruise still works at night as well as it would if you're wearing sunglasses. I could still track your eyes and turn them on they're off in the system so it's nice that you can use super cruise any time of the day even if it's sunny or dark which is why the CT-6 is my absolute favorite car.

I love her style. I love the features it has. It seems that it is really amazing. how many different things they can do as far as safety and convenience it's an amazing car and i love everything about it it makes me so sad that cadillac may discontinue this car soon and i hope that's not the case because it's a fantastic vehicle it's just amazing the kind of features that your super cruiser has is amazing you can go hands free on the road i mean it is just revolutionary for me i think this car is really fantastic and unfortunately many people overlook it i wish that would more take into account this type of car because It's Cadillac's biggest sedan and it has a lot of features to offer people and I think it's just amazing and that's why it's my favorite car, there's nothing else on the road for me and I absolutely love it.
