I'm gonna wear this uniform so I just want it to count we're going to do the same for the guys in both the 1600 and the 3200 because again a superstar a member like I said Ann Arbor pioneering Nick Foster in a banner day after introducing all four. for 800 related victory here in the mile Able to outlast Plymouth sophomore Patrick Burns Nick took second last year Wanted it, that's for sure. to do something I didn't need to do but at the same time I didn't want to make sure that first I made sure God got the win and in the 3200 Alpena's Aidan Smith actually led for a good bit but in the end he furthered his crown defense the DAC Male Athlete of the Year nominee stepping out in style he's heading to Michigan now let's take a few minutes to mention the field champions on each day competitors fight all day to claim the top trophy we hit the award stands to recognize some champions from the East Bracy, a senior citizen of Kentwood, gave himthe Falcons ten points by winning the long jump. pole vaulting in the boys' high jump was Graham in white Ethan Barr takes top honors six six jump for junior gets win and in long jump for girls won't do westerns Kennedy Jackson runner-up a year ago but this jump of 18 1050 made it for the junior and finally in the women's discus East Kentwood Bell Okafor won gold after this splashdown she traveled 140 feet congratulations to all our field event champions 29 teams back to racing and another race of relays high angle of the 4 for 100 women's relay Detroit Renaissance wins this event just 30 tenths behind the MHSA a record we had another super close finish on the men's side of the 4 for 1 there's that man again Noah says to Rockford part of a relay team that won this one two years ago somehow finds a way to beat East Kentwood Stefan Bracy what a 400m finisher and it's Renaissance freshmen Lia Burr again down the stretch but this time fighting another freshman in Oak Park LOI vines this is a rematch of the regional final which vines one but it's burr this time coming out on top she had a lot of time to think about this date she surprised even herself to the mates and we had a battle between the wise Noah from Benton in orange and the one on the left in blue Westland John Glenn James pissed off digging deep Florida Lee wins the women's 400 300 hurdle and it was a good battle from the start but in the end Lauren Fulcher of Troy would be this year's state champion so close to breaking the d1 record after another long delay we had dealt with a great finish in the boys 300 hurdles at the last hurdle Keyshawn Harris fell over the finish line to hold off lake orion senior thomas morman whatever it takes straight to the girls 800 race gabby Hinton had a stress fracture couldn't even compete in the final last year the senior watches this year with a time of 208 70 she she's grateful to be here honestly the goal is not to win oh sister race i open my first day of the year and i have public relations i knew it was going to be something special one of the craziest finishes of the day was in the boys 800 like many races the finish here it would be close and i'm talking about photo finish close novi smiles brown and plymouth patrick burns finished tied 150 183 and greenville's tightest press key not far off which is the craziest part there are only sophomores.

I talked about every single point the county made to make sure they get to the line and make sure they put their best effort on the track so the kids show up there's a lot of pressure because like I said Renaissance is outstanding Rochefort was outstanding and it was really a tribe meeting between the three of us, that's what they look like, but I'm very proud of the children, it has some very great performances by the children. who came out of nowhere very excited with the boys for the 400 relay at east kentwood wanting to shore things up for another state title and do it at home ek jr.
Michael loss tuna doing it for the Falcons which is a three time championship and eighth championship in 11 years we've been doing this y'all this is where you keep it we want three events one 4x2 one for the right one for the long jump but we've really added up and like another seven events we are sixth here and we fit there and fourth there and and and and only as a body punch body punch how you blow and no knockout punches but but I tell you what I am so proud of my kids they know they are amazing they really were amazing today so it's the 2019 boys and girls track and field state championships.
