opportunity. We were at Ford Field on March 2 for the MHSAA Individual State Wrestling Finals. There were hundreds of wrestlers competing for just the 56 titles up for grabs, so without further ado, let's dive in. The action begins in Division Four, we have 285-pound heavyweights Jake Renfro Menten take on River Fox from Schoolcraft. Sauk starts strong with an early takedown to start the second period, now Fox with a quick escape and a quick takedown to get to 7-1. The 103-pound win saw Union City's Brayton Mirrors take on Hudson's Bronson Mary.

These two were tied on two points after three periods in the first overtime period. Mears hits a quick shot to finish and after just a few seconds gets the points for the takedown. and Sudden Victory Ben Motor Oh Bronson took on Nolan Dayton mo of Carson City Crystal in the one hundred and twelve pound weight class. Mo Dirt is able to shoot and grab a leg, turning Edna around and getting on the board with the takedown starting. In the third period, a motor in neutral position fires and is able to spin and get the points for the takedown and the 7-0 win at 119.

We saw a CC versus matchup CC Derrick Kilcher with the red bands gets a takedown and is able to gain maximum control in the third period mark Schaeffer is looking to turn the tide, but there is too much blame, sure here Detroit Catholic Central's Kevin Devonport has already won state titles at 119 , 130 and 145, faces Bay City Western's Vic Schoener at 145 pounds Devonport starts with a strong double leg takedown Shaner makes a quick move but can't get the near fall points Davenport is able to reverse it and get top control and wins his fourth state title in his third different weight class at 152 Catholic Central Catholic Central's Cameron M&E gets a single leg takedown to end the first period Lake Orion's Jayden Fischer put up a great fight but M&E was too much and gets another takedown and goes on to earn the main decision 11 - for the fifth cc win so far, the 160-pounder found Davidson's Alex Facundo taking on Clarkston's Devon Trevino.
Facundo gets an early jump with a takedown and gains maximum control in the thirdperiod. Facundo just shows how strong he comes from a low position to get a single leg lift on Treviño and takes him down with a thunderous takedown. Then wins 9-2 at 171. We saw a 2-1 tiebreaker win for Brightens' River Shetler at 189. Davison's Cal Stefan ko shoots Catholic. Central's East and Turner, but couldn't finish it off. Turner was able to turn around and get points for the win. Our last match in Division 1 saw Detroit Catholic Central's Brendan Atooma take on Hudsonville's Kyle Scott at 2:15 as he begins his match. coming out in first position and being able to get the pin in the second period gives CC their seventh singles title of
