It has been the easiest year to train but we have worked harder but that is because they wanted to work so hard because this is their goal and dream and they trusted our staff to do all that hard work so my speeches are amazing in Division two. We had a program that for the last 20 years found itself in its sixth final with hopes of a fourth state championship.
I'm talking about Orchard Lake st. Mary is the Catholic champion with a solid bullpen and a great combination of youth and experience. Grand Rapids Catholic Central enters the postseason unranked, but surged during this run by scoring well-ranked opponents by wide margins. More timely hits would be needed here if the Cougars were I'm going to find a way to land the harriers. I'm Jenna Scale Ski and here we go to the Division Two baseball final between Orchard Lake st. Mary's and Grand Rapids Catholic Central and we picked up the things at the end of the first street.
Mary's would get on the board, senior Harrison laid the ax sends it to left for the hit, sophomore Alex Mooney returns to score, they added another run and led to nothing after the first Grand Rapids Catholic Central threatened with a pair in the top of the second, but nature returns to st. Mary's pitcher Brock Porter, who makes the catch to end the Eagle offense's threat in the bottom half of the second with the bases loaded, would be the sophomore Mooney who would come up with the hit that would drive Ryan do Saeng and Jack Mooney who increased. street.
Mary's lead is four and they would be knocking on the door in the third with a pair in scoring position. Kole Sibley lands up the middle, the throw home is off and now he would score two more harriers flying six nothing after three innings. of the game we go to the top of the fifth Grand Rapids CC with the bases loaded Kyle Tepper with the fly ball to left deep enough for Trudeau to bunt from third and beat the throw, the Cougars were now trailing the freshman six to one Brock. Porter was dealing with this Junoon, he went six innings allowing one run, five hits and striking out seven.
Orchard Lake would get that run back in the bottom of the fifth, senior Jack Mooney bunts in and that would make Grant Henson score harriers again. six to seven to one then in the sixth another freshman contributing for Edelen is Nolan Schubert as he takes the opera depth to right-center and would finish at third with an RBI triple heading into the final inning Orchard Lake st. Mary's led 8 to 1. Dylan Karke, who will play his college ball at Michigan State, came in to pitch in the seventh and would give Kyle Tapper two wickets after the game, finishing 6-4-3 in a double play as Orchard Lake Saint Mary's moving towards winning 8-1 for their first state title in four years feels amazing you know junior year we lost in the semis last year we just came back as a senior and last year as an eagle it meant the world to win it and go out with a bang or very proud of yourself, you know, we had a tough start to the season, we always believed in ourselves, we believed in the talent that we had, but we just needed to put it all together, we needed some guys to step up the leadership and we did, and then I believe.
That's 27 straight games or something where we're undefeated and to have a comfortable combination here at Michigan State with the state championship is pretty special. We now head to Division Three and Grosse Pointe Woods University's Leggett found himself back in Division Three afterward. After two years trying to compete for a state title in Division One, they failed to reach the

finals

So, two-nothing Trojan Homer wasn't done, ducks in the pond and Logan King trying to stop the bleeding, but Jacob Wilson hits a nice single to give up two more runs and the Trojans had a four-run lead after the first. top of second Knights trying to get it going Billy Coe demanding single to Center two outs now and Knights getting aggressive Coe demanding with attempted steal but intercepted to end the inning great pitch from LeBron top 4 now nights Drew's Eleniak singled and advanced a second after Logan King walked, but Butters was facing Mick with the frozen post and another threat.
Butters had six strikeouts in the game, still four short home runs, for now. Trojans with a man on second, but Kopecky came in to pitch for the Knights in the second inning today. Good job here striking out the next two batters, including Seth Tigers, into the sixth inning and it looked like Liggett was going to break the scoring seal with two on, but not that fast. Alec Hazard throws to left field and looks like he's going to fall, but check out this webcam of left fielder Dylan Warner Ian Narva must have thought he didn't catch it, instead they double him at second and that ends another threatening night of annotation. distance but a scary moment here Patrick Ilic on the spot accidentally hit him in the head with the pitch this crack bounced all over the stadium but he would be fine and continued that was the end of Butters' day as he reached his six scoreless innings limit Vander Kolk called to close out the game, Terrance O'Brien, however, walks and the night is still alive with two runners on board, but it was not meant to be Kopecky, grounded out to end the game.

2019

the d3 state chins graduated ten seniors from last year's team to 37 and two teams ten seniors seven pitchers and most people wouldn't have thought we would have made it this far you know that for sure and they did, We talked about it before the game, all the talk was on and you had to win there or whatever five, six, seven state championships and yeah, I see today we just have to be one race better than them and we're pretty simple, the first pitch right, the first pitch, the start, getting our bunt game.
We're going to play defense and we made some outstanding plays. How about Dylan Warner there in the sixth inning? It's just amazing. I can't really put it into words and I still don't feel like we won the state championship. It means a lot, no. You see the whole community that came out to support us today and it means a lot and we're so grateful to have a great support system in the community. We are very proud of you. They know having that walking trainer, this doesn't happen. Next year, well, we finish the business today, brave effort, hard work, look at the communities, incredible what you have contributed today, you are here to help you, win or lose, you are gone, today you are champions.

The Bulldogs led by two. Junior Derek Clark was on the mound for summer camp and was shutting down Novell's bats. Sam Bartles, the swing cave victim. Clark with two strikeouts in the first inning, skip to the bottom of the fourth, now Novell is putting some pressure on with the bases loaded, but Clark rises to the occasion andHe gets the decisive strike on Jacob Byrd to end the threat that was still a meaningless ball game. He jumped to the top of the six with the bases loaded, a bulldog Clark doing it with his bat as he worked. one in the right field corner and go on a date with the guy as he cleans up the past and slides in with a Petersburg triple.
Sommerfeld cruisin now leads 7-zip on Clark was still dealing on the hill Michael Elmen can't catch the heat had the shutout until the final inning and the Bulldogs would add a few more runs in the seventh. I mean, I love all of these guys with all my heart and I love working with them. I preached to them from the beginning. practice day we're going to win a state championship so there's no stage there it doesn't matter who we play any stage we went to Decatur we played under lights you know we scheduled some big teams and I just wanted to get them used to the big stage it was so, you know, we're supposed to be here, everyone thought we're supposed to be here, this isn't too big for us, you know, and we just wanted to show that I belong and you know none of this was a fluke up until this point. , so I basically told him it's not a coincidence.
You know we're here for a reason, but we're going to do it, so we just wanted to. I really appreciate it.
