I have also linked the ticking accounts below to give them credit for these cricket tricks. let me know which trick is your favorite in the comments and be sure to like this video if you enjoy it subscribe if you're new to my channel and let's get into the video. I'm starting the trick video with some Weeding tips take a container of Clorox wipes and the spot where the wipes go through is perfect for removing the vinyl from the hook. I really love this trick and once the container is full you can throw it away. Here's another awesome weeding tip, grab a lint roller. and just stick the lint remover vinyl, since the lint roller is sticky, it releases the vinyl very easily once the lint roller has pieces of vinyl, you can take off a piece of it and throw it in the trash in this next trick to remove the bad ones herbs I found. in tik-tok is to take a sewing needle and a mechanical pencil and place the sewing needle inside the pencil and use it as a wieder.

I think the needle was not the right size or I should have used a different mechanical pencil because the sewing needle went back into the pencil a few times but it still worked great. In fact, I'm thinking about buying a main pin. This next weeding hack is not from tik-tok, but I use it a lot, you've probably seen it. I use it on my channel and I always get a lot of questions about it. It is actually a nail polish holder. I buy it on Amazon for about nine dollars. I will have a link below and it works well for removing vinyl.

I also like to hang it. this on my board in my craft room this next cricket tip i found on tik-tok I use it every time I use transfer tape. It really is amazing what a difference it makes when you transfer your vinyl to transfer tape, scratch off the front. and the back of the vinyl, then remove the backing paper. You can see that when I just scrape the front and try to remove the clear transfer tape, it doesn't completely pick up the vinyl and now it sticks a lot to the back. I'll turn it over and scrape the back, then remove the backing and you can see it pull the vinyl onto the transfer tape much easier, you may still have to go in and polish it again with your scraper. little, but it's surprising how easy it is to remove the backing of the transfer paper.

It's always difficult trying to determine which font you want to use for a project, so this is a really easy way to do it. You will go to the wordmark. I tapped and at first when I went to this my fonts downloaded from dafont.com or any of the fonts I bought were not showing up here, they were just the standard fonts that came with my computer so I had to add an extension to make it appear, so you may have to do that, but what you need to do is just type in a word, so I'm going to type hello and press enter, and then it's going to show all your fonts and it's going to show you what it looks like. like with that written word, this is really cool because it will help you decide what you want to use and another interesting thing about this, let's say you want a good script font for your project, you can select some of the script fonts that you have. downloaded, let's take one more and then you can go up here once you start selecting, it will say selected filter and then it will show just the sources that you have selected to give you an even better idea of what you want to use it for. your project, so this is an amazing website for this tic tac trick.
If you have removable vinyl that you want to use but need it to last longer on something, try adding the vinyl to your blank and then adding Mod Podge on top. I made it last Christmas. I found the removable vinyl at the dollar target spot and wanted to use it and the Mod Podge actually worked great to keep the vinyl from picking up another fun trick I saw was using these craft paper punches, I don't know exactly what they are. They are called but I found them on Amazon and they have different designs and you can use them on your vinyl cutouts.
It will be fun to do different projects like nail decals or scrapbooking and as you can see, you just punch them out and it's cut. discover the design here is a way to center the iron-on design on your shirts. You will need a dry erase marker. I'm adding a couple of extra steps from what I saw in the ticking video. I like to fold my shirt. half and run my ez cookie by pressing on the shirt, it will show a line going down so you know where the center is. Then fold the shirt inside out horizontally grabbing the armpits of the shirt, this helps me make sure it is straight now folded.
I iron your design in half lining it up at the end of each design knot at the end of the carrier sheet make sure not to fold it on the sticky side then I pinch a little on the top because I don't want the vinyl to fold this is how I normally line up my shirt , but I saw the dry erase tip on the tick, I grabbed a dry erase marker and used a ruler to make a line going down the center and then I did it the other direction like Okay, next place the vinyl sheet on your t-shirt.
The horizontal alliance probably won't line up on top of each other, it'll probably be lower than the line, but it's a good way to make sure it's straight, but you'll align the vertical lines. one on top of the other, then you can erase the marker from your shirt instead, whatever heat source you are using to make your shirt. The next tactic I found in tic tac is how to change one layer into two layers many times. it's fun to do this with cups, make a holographic color with a solid color, so I'm going to go to the images and look for a butterfly in Cricut design space.
I'll take this one and press Insert Image as you can see. just one layer, but I'm going to make two layers using the outline button. I actually use the outline button a lot to make different layers, but I didn't have this in my other Cricut

hacks

video, so I thought it would be cool to add to this one, so what you do is press duplicate and then go down to outline for the first. We want just the solid background, which is this layer here. What I like to do instead of clicking on each one separately is hide all the outlines and then you can see it hits all of these, but this solid background when you press the we'll change it to black and then this you can change it to whatever color you want and You can send this back and then you have two different layer colors.
These are so fun to use on Starbucks cups. It's fun to do this as a holographic color or you can also do the background holographic color for this trick. showing a cool way to remove this type of font, it's really hard to remove these little bits and I've made a t-shirt with a font like this before and it was extremely difficult so I'm excited to see if it works. I thought I was done with the lint removal tips, but I actually found another one. I removed the inside of the letters, but I'll try using a lint roller to get the rest of the pieces out of there when I try it for the first time.
This I had nothing on my lint roller and it was too sticky picked up an entire letter. I was able to put the letter down and rubbed the lint roller against my shirt so it wouldn't be too sticky. I tried again. and definitely picked up some of this next time. You could try making the roller let even less sticky, but I think this is a cool trick for these complicated brush type fonts, how to get the most out of your stickers when printing and then cutting. Cricut limits the mock cut size to nine point two five by six point seven five.
You can't print anything larger than that, but I have a fun trick on how to get the most out of it, so what you're going to do is go to the shapes and Grab a square, then go up to unlock it and what I'm going to do is set the width and height for maximum print size, then cut for width. I'm going to do six point seven five and then I'm going to do it for a nine point two five, so this is the biggest thing you can print and then cut, so let's say I'm making some stickers.
I'm going to upload them, I'm going to take one of my SVGs and I'm going to insert it into the Cricut design space and let's say I want. to make it about two inches so it's about two inches wide real quick as well. I'm going to go to my shapes and grab a circle to put it behind this, so I'm going to send this back and do that as well. a white color and I will make it a little smaller. I'm going to highlight both in the center. I'm doing this real quick just as an example, then I'm going to flatten it, so now I'm going to bring it here and actually make it a little bit smaller, then what I'm going to do is duplicate them and you're just going to put them inside the rectangle and this will give you an idea. of how many you can. they fit on one print, then they cut the page, then I'll select them and duplicate them and do it a couple more times.
I actually do this in my sticker video that I have, so I did it before I knew it. tape and that's probably all you'd want. I'm even going to move them down a little bit. One thing you should also be careful with is bleeding. I always recommend keeping the bleed when printing and then cutting because it helps get a cleaner line on your cuts, but because of that it will spread out a bit so you don't want them too close together. Another thing I would do is just tie them all together. I would just delete this. rectangle since we're done with that and attach now that it's attached, I'll show you when you click on the "make it" screen, so this white rectangle here is an eight and a half by 11 sheet of paper so you can look, it almost takes up the entire the blade, so that way you can still use everything you can, so it's a great trick.
Now I'll go straight to the next tip if you click continue when you're in the print and cut settings select send a printer and I'll show you how to save this as a PDF file if you want this print settings screen will appear then select use the system dialog box and then click print. with this screen and if you look down in the bottom left corner it will say PDF, if you select you can go down to save it as PDF then you can save it as handmade with love stickers and then click save you just go to My Documents . so I just double clicked on that and here you can see it's saved as a PDF file.
I have a couple more print and cut tips to share with you. I removed the rest and only have one to save some ink on my printer. and I'll click "Create It" and show you a couple of my print and cut tricks. I'll click "Continue" and send this to my printer. I'll change it to the best quality and just hit "Print my printer." I'll just print this. I'm going to add clear adhesive paper over my matte adhesive paper and find my settings. I made some test cuts to determine which worked best and it ended up being the printable clear contact paper.
Cut it perfectly. I'm going to select that and press Done. I'm using full sheets of stickers for my decals, but I also have Cricut printable vinyl that I use. They are both matte sheets, so I want to show you how. To get glossy decals using contact paper like this, simply peel the contact paper off the sheet and place it over the decals. You need to place it carefully so that too many air bubbles do not form. Then I'll take my scraper and scrape it off. down to make sure it doesn't have any bubbles in there, now you can load this into the Cricut machine and the Cricut will cut it like this.
This setup worked great because you can just lift the sticker but keep that backing. I love it. that shiny look for stickers and you can even get it wet and it won't stain at all. This next trick is amazing. I'll show you real quick if you try to cut out glitter paper in the Cricut explore air. It's really hard to read those black log lines, as you can see I get an error, so I want to show you a trick on how to make this work. All you need to do is take masking tape and make sure it has a matte finish. then you'll just take that tape and place it over the black registration lines;
Just by doing that, Cricut explore air will be able to read it too. I was excited when I saw this tip on the tik-tok store vinyl in a 12 by 12 size. scrapbook this is perfect for my 12 by 12 orakau 6 5 1 vinyl sheets these would also work great for vinyl of waste. I keep mine in a folder, but I love the scrapbook idea. This is where I currently keep my vinyl and cardstock where the tower is from. Michaels and the bins fit 12 by 12 sheets of vinyl and paper, so it's great for storing my materials. I just wanted to share another option and the next etiquette that I

learned

in tic toc is if you go to the text and look for a writing font.
I'm just going to use Magnolia sky as an example and then when you write it down you can see how the letter spacing is always separate and you have to connect it so you usually have to go to the letter spacing and bring it in and then you never put it completely like you want so I always have to ungroup it and move it so this always takes a little bit of time so you have to move it and then solder it so someone shared on tik-tok you can go to your Launchpad I'm on a Mac computer and I go to search text on a Windows computer.
It should have a text screen. If you search for text only, you should be able to find it. I'll double click on that and then select. new document now I'm going to find Magnolia sky and I'm going to write thank you and then I'm going to make it a lot bigger and you can see it cuts it off there so I'm also going to move it a little bit and I capitalized my T so I'm going to move it to T lowercase, so after I do that, I'm going to take a screenshot of this on a Windows computer, look for the snipping tool and on Mac Press the command Shift 4 and I'm going to take a screenshot here, then I'm going to save this to my photos now that I'm back in the Cricut design space.
I'm going to click load and search for it. I moved it from my photos. to my documents and I'm going to double click here. I'll press complex, then you'll want to take the wand and remove the background, then press continue, save it as a cut image, and then insert it into the Cricut design space. I'm not sure if that trick is necessarily faster, but it suits you perfectly, so I thought it was a good tip to add it to the video. This next trick is a way to remove backgrounds easily. I was very excited about this trick. because I've been looking for something like this, it's called remove dot BG and I just went to Google and searched for free butterfly images.
I'm just using this as an example. I'm going to click on one of these and let's say you just want to go through the butterfly with the flower, so what I'm going to do is just right click and save this image, and then I'm going to come back here and click upload image. I'm going to double click on the one I downloaded. and it automatically removed the background, it's very easy, so now I'm going to download it again and then I'm going to go to Cricut design space. I'll go to my uploads and find that image with the background removed.
I'm going to click on complex because this is a complex image. This would be a good example of one that you would use for prints and cut out because as you can see a cut image just wouldn't work well and I'll insert it into the Cricut design. space and you can see what it looks like without the background, some of it may need to be cleaned up a little bit, which you can do when you upload it, but that's cool. What I want to share next is how to get two of your Cricuts. machines running at the same time, so this is a way to save some time, especially if you have your own business.
I'm just going to upload a random design. All these images are also user images, so if you are interested in these images. for only $4.99 a month, we have over a hundred images right now, you can use them for personal and commercial use, definitely check out the link in my description box if you want more information about it, so I will include it in the design . space. I'll make it smaller and then change it to a drawing image. I'm going to have Cricut draw this on a piece of paper just to give you an example of how to do this.
Click group and just change a few things very quickly. I'm going to change the flower to blue and then keep the words black. I'm going to attach all of this together. Then I'll use my Explorer for my first machine. I'll click Go to File and then select a new window. A different Cricut Design Space window will appear. You can choose a different project or you can use change or select the same one and press customize. I'm going to draw this. in my maker, so I'm going to change it to the maker machine and make it smaller so you can see we have two windows open.
We will also make this smaller so that here you can see what we have selected by the manufacturer. I'm going to click do it, oh, I'm going to come back. I didn't attach that, so I'm going to select all of this and select attach now. I'm ready to click do it, as you can see. I have this screen the creator will cut off and this screen will be the scan machine so I'm going to select continue on both screens on this one I found my creator machine on this one I found the air I'm also using my two USB cables that I have but you can also Connect it to Bluetooth through your laptop If you want more than two machines to work at once, here are both machines running at the same time.
I think this is an awesome tip, this last trick is really cool when layering adhesive vinyl once again. I linked the tickers below so I can give them credit because this is very clever. What you will need is parchment paper. Place one with one of your cape pieces on top. parchment paper, then take a second piece of parchment paper, take the transfer tape and place it on one of the pieces you are going to layer. I like to use Duck brand clear contact paper when layering vinyl. You can buy it at Walmart or Amazon. the second parchment paper and place it on top of the black bottom layer of the vinyl, do not cover the entire piece with the parchment paper, leave a little bit out as you can see, start layering the first piece, place it on the side that does not have paper parchment then place the rest of the decal on the parchment paper it doesn't stick much on that parchment paper you can see if it's lined up correctly and if it's not you can easily readjust it like this It's Great for layering vinyl because you have to have it lined up correctly so that all The pieces fit together and permanent vinyl is very sticky, so if it accidentally sticks and it's not in the right place, you'll most likely have to redo the whole thing.
Once you've placed it where you want it, scrape the side without the parchment paper and then remove the parchment paper. Now you can remove the transfer tape. I'll show you how I do this method with the rest of the pieces. Now just add the tongue. I should have used transfer paper but I was getting a little lazy but here it is, this hack is absolutely amazing and that's it for my Cricut hack video, let me know if you want me to do a second video, hit this up too. video, a thumbs up if you enjoyed it, subscribe if you're new to my channel and don't forget to visit my Patreon account in the description box below.
