I'm using this scarf and heart from the Dollar Tree and I loved the color of this scarf. I thought it was very pretty and I love the texture. This is just a normal foam heart. They have different ones at Dollar Tree, but I think this one is definitely a go. It is a great purchase because you can cover it with normal material tape if you want or if you like. I'm making a scarf and this only cost me $2 so I'm just cutting off the excess and it's a little messy. Look, but once you glue it all together, it doesn't really fray too much as long as you tuck it underneath, so I think this heart is super cute like this, but I wanted to dress it up a little more and make it a little more on the chic side , so I took those pearls that Dollar Tree has and I put them on a string and then glued them around the outside edge of the heart.

Now you can wrap this around the heart if you want. but you'll need quite a few beads so one pack, possibly two, will be all you need for this and I'm only gluing about every five beads to the heart so now I'll show you how to do. These are a heart garland, all I'm doing is taking a few pages out of a book I had and cutting it into hearts the size I want, so these hearts are about two inches. I am on heights. You can make them smaller or bigger it's completely up to you. I'm picking one of those papers, I'm folding it in half and then I'm cutting it again and then I'm going to fold it in half and I'm just going to cut it into the shape. of a heart, you can trace this, but you don't really have to, so they're basically going to use this as a template and then trace it onto a bunch of squares that you've already cut out.

You can also use a cookie. cutter to make the shape, but I recommend cutting several of these at once just to save some time. I ended up cutting about fifty of these because I wanted my garland to be nice and long and all I'm doing is laying one down and then putting this cotton thread that Dollar Tree carries in the middle and making a V shape in the hot glue and then gluing it on with a top coat as well and I placed mine about two and three inches apart, which I thought was perfect. You can do whatever you want, make them bigger or smaller, but this is really inexpensive and I love the vintage tone it gives, but it's also muted so it's not louder in your face for a very small vacation.

For this DIY that I am going to do. Using these wooden beads that Dollar Tree carries in the craft aisle now there are a couple different sizes here and I went ahead and used the large one now for Valentine's Day we have these heart shaped picks they come and I think They are a pack of six or seven. and I decided to use this because it was smaller than the wooden dowel and it's wood and it fits perfectly with the larger wooden beads so I'm just adding a little bit of hot glue to the top and bottom to secure them all. if you don't want them to turn, it's completely up to you and then I'm just going to grab one of those hearts that I had left over from my last DIY video if you hadn't seen the link below and I'm just grabbing some Waverly white chalk paint and paint this over the colored beads now.
I would definitely recommend spray painting this, but I couldn't. It was only 20 degrees outside, so if you have cooler weather, spray painting will definitely save you some time, but it doesn't. it's necessary it's not necessary it only gives it if you're going to leave them white it's definitely a layered look it's not as smooth as the glitter paint would give for this and then the heart is actually from a garland they had and then I'm using a little bit of regular glue here and I'm just going to apply this to the other hearts that I made here.
I made them in three different layers so one has six beads, the other has five and then three, so I can layer them and place them together on the shelf and the wooden hearts that I painted here come in a pack of five of Dollar Tree, so I just apply that Mod Podge or regular glue, whatever you have on hand and then I'm using some book sheets. also for this and I'm just going to press this and you'll press it, you could actually trace this first, that would be the smarter decision, but I didn't do that and since it's wet because of the glue, it actually just comes off when you pull it down the sides, so don't worry, and the scalloped edge looks really nice with the paper, so now I'm going to take that Waverly wax paint and apply it with a brush. the beads because I wanted them to look like wood and these things don't smell or anything, you can use a normal dye if you have raw beads too.
I will only read your wooden beads. I know the

home

store does have them. some for Christmas, but I'm saving them for another project and I thought they would work really well and get them in the grooves and I decided to make a heart with the stain too. I really like the way it looks, so choose whatever color works for you. I'm definitely going for neutrals this year and I want them to be really pretty and traditional and not loud or in your face but I know everyone has a different style of

decor

ating a lot of you like traditional reds and pinks so next for the base of these I'm going to use these little wooden balls that Dollar Tree carries, they have three different sizes so these are the medium sized ones I think. or the big ones, I'm not too sure about that and then I take them because they don't lie exactly flat.
I'm taking a wider popsicle stick and just cutting it so it's at the base of this, they all worked. very well and it held firm, the only one that was a little heavier was the larger heart due to the size and thickness of the wood, but they turned out very nice. I love that project. Next Valentine's Day DIY we will use this one. really cute Dollar Tree sign and we're basically going to tear off almost everything, it's adorable as is, but again, I'm going to go with those neutral tones so the heart comes off completely, they weren't attached. too much and then you can remove the excess paint and you'll actually want to cut out all the red.
I'll end up playing with it later, but I'm using the hearts as a template to Trace a fabric I have on hand and I love this fabric. I've had it, I think two or three years, and it's so pretty, it has these cute vintage

farmhouse

stripes and it's so pretty that I ended up buying the whole thing. roll when I bought it years ago because I didn't want to, I was actually going to cover a chair and I never did, but once you cut the heart shape cut out, you're going to go ahead and make as many as you want.
I want and look at that sweet little hand over there, he told me that he was going to do crafts with me, so you'll see his little project that he's going to start working on. He is so cute. Now I'm going to put back those straw branches that were there. but I'm removing the red heart because I didn't want the volume of the red to be there and then I'm going to cut some black hearts out of some black felt for that area. I just forgot to film that part. and I'm just going to cut the straw, isn't that how long it was and then like I said, I'm cutting off all the red that's showing.
I didn't want that color there, plus I just don't like it, it's too bright for me and then I grab this black felt that Dollar Tree carries in the craft area and we're basically going to cut out the shape that the red was and we're going to Create like a small border. I tried painting the felt red and it didn't work very well, so just take some black material of whatever color you want and then cut it out and make it as straight as possible and glue it to the back. of the heart sign and voila, you have a whole new sign that isn't loud or anything and I really love how it looks.
I'm so happy I changed it to do more neutral tones for the next project we'll be doing. When I took this love sign, there was a galvanized heart on there, but I took it off and used it for a previous project and now I'm just going to take some sandpaper and sand it down and smooth it out and try to break it up a little bit. I dusted off the red paint and then I'm going to cover this sign with white chalk paint here and I'm NOT going to make the grooves in this sign. I wanted to keep that overlapping look, but again, you can do whatever you want.
You can paint this black, pink, gray, whatever works for you, so once you cover it, I'm going to take that Waverly wax paint again and cover these wooden hearts here, they say love on the other side, so if you Just I want to highlight that you can, but I like the simple side of the heart and I'm going to brush it to give it a nice spotted look. I'm going to do that with both of them and then I'm going to brush them. the rest of the stain just brushing it out to give the sign some texture.
Now I'm going to use these wooden Scrabble letters that I bought from the target

dollar

s section. I thought they're really cute and they have some for I say completely different things so look at them and see if you can find them and I just glue them on and make sure they're level and then I go from the center of this one and work my way out, but this It's so cute I can't wait to display this for Valentine's Day. I think it's adorable. It would also be perfect for a wedding. I'm gluing on those bigger hearts and taking these sticky hearts and just turning them around. flip them over and glue them back together and this is how the sign turned out so cute you have to tell me which one is your favorite so far so for this DIY again I'm going to use that paint to stain again and this is Hart I'm just going to use the back and I'm going to brush this and I do it in two different directions so you do what works for you, you can rub it on whatever you want to do but I wanted to make sure it flowed with the way the heart looked, it's a personal preference though It dries very quickly so don't worry about it taking forever, you can always blow dry it between projects if necessary.
I'm going to use my wagon wheel and I've done this using products from Dollar Tree. I'll have that video linked below if you want more details on how to do it, but I don't have any wire strand left, a floral wire. so I'm using some floral tape to basically hold down my eucalyptus and this eucalyptus that I didn't want to cut but I should have because it's a little overwhelming for the size of my car wheel, the car wheels are about two feet wide , but I needed to cut them, the edges of the eucalyptus did not, so just ignore the disproportionate minutes.
I need to fix that, but for the sake of the video, it will be like this. I'm using one of those felt hearts at Dollar Tree, they come like this. a pack of six or eight and there's pink and red in there and I'm using that galvanized heart with a wooden heart and then I glued several little wooden hearts on the eucalyptus and so it turned out that it's not my favorite something's missing, but you know, I thought about give you an idea at least, so we're going to use that cardboard heart again and I'm going to stick some twine on the red side because we're I'm going to transform the blank side on the back and just because it's easier, I'm going to take a little bit of Mod Podge here and I'm going to spread it all over the heart and then again I'm going to use those book pages and I've I'm going to cut them into two different shapes and basically layer them on b2 and then I'm going to add the Mod Podge to glue each layer and I wanted it to look like that of old layered book, but you can do whatever you want.
If you want, you can cover this with fabric if you want to order regular scrap paper or wrapping paper. Everything works for you. I've made them all and I'll show you another way to use these hearts in today's video for a wreath. also later on so stay tuned for that but like I said I'm just layering this on and then we're going to cut off the excess once it's finished drying and I think it's really great as is. These hearts come in a pack of five or six, so you can use them quite a bit and just finish layering on that Mod Podge and once it's dry, this is what it will end up looking like and again it's just one of those.

easy

to layer pieces, it doesn't cost you much to do it all and it actually shows with everything, so again I'm going to use the books and then I'm going to use that heart again, this one is a different size and For this I'm going to put the papers together and then glue them together hot glue the back of the heart and you want to make sure you do it on the white side because the right side will stick out and you don't want to see it.
These are just squares of paper that I'm putting together and then adding a little bit of hot glue and then holding them there until it dries and basically we're going to layer this and do it until the whole heart is full. how pretty I love how it looks this is one of the projects I've saved over the years and I love it, it's so pretty, I like how fluffy it is and it has that vintage feel to it, but I really love the next DIY. I'll just take a littlematte white paint and I'm going to dry brush it over this pink heart that I already had from last year and I'm just dry brushing it and dry brushing is just adding a little bit of paint to it and just brushing it all over because you don't want a full coat , so I mixed white and black.
To get a cooler shade here and again, I'm just dry brushing this with the wood green. This is completely optional. After doing this, I wish I had left it with the white pink, but it definitely gives it a different tone. Look, so I'm going to go in with some green paint and I'm going to paint these X Oh, I would cut out letters that you can also find at the Dollar Tree. I'm adding a little hot glue to the back. them and I will hit them. You could say whatever you wanted but I didn't have anything to say xoxo so I thought it was a great way to reuse the heart I had last year and just changed it a little for this area simple clinic DIY you'll want this set of three tinsel hearts and then some spray paint in the color of your choice.
All I did was cut the tinsel in one area and then it just started unraveling right away and you can see these little dots on each end of the heart. I really like this, let's maximize that feature. I took this outside and then gave it a good coat of brake paint and then left it. that's dry and I love the way it turned out, you guys feel like it looks like rusty hearts from Bob Meyer, which is definitely a cool look, it has that old

farmhouse

vibe from Judge and I didn't have to do much. Work for this.
I had something else completely planned for these hearts and this is so much better. I need a crown shape. You will need the Dollar Tree love sign as well as ribbon in the color of your choice. I'm using white and gray paint here. plus a paintbrush, a paint tray and then I'll also use this arrow and a glue gun. I'm going to start with some gray paint and I'm going to trace inside the letters and just highlight them now you can use them. a thin tape for this too, but I decided to paint it because I didn't have enough tape of the style I wanted to dry well.
I'm going to take my ribbon and wrap it around the wreath shape and once the fuel fits the

dollar

tree

, Reese's okay, add a little bit of glue all the way to the end and it'll stick it on, then I went in after it dried and I used the back of my brush and added little polka dots to the Love signature, you can add whatever flowers you want or just leave it simple, it's completely up to you, but I like the little details and I just scaled the dots, then you'll decide where you want to add this to your crown. to add it to the bottom and I'll just add a little bit of hot glue on each side to hold the love sign down.
Now I'll take some leftover ribbon and make another bow. Harry already had a bond. done, so I'm using this tape. I'm just crossing it to figure out the desired length of my ties and then I'm going to belt it in the middle, I'm going to take a tie and I'm just going to twist it until it holds and then I'm adding a little bit of glue and I'm going to press the other one together and then I'm going to add a little bit of glue on the back of the ribbon and I will attach this to my wreath.
Now you can leave the crown like this. but I took that adhesive arrow and added it to the heart and I love the way this wreath turned out. You can use any style of ribbon you want. I'm going for a little more muted farmhouse tones for this Valentine's Day, so I really love the way this all came together. Next DIY wreath, you'll want a grapevine wreath again. I love me some tape. I'm using a red, some Mod Podge and a paintbrush, a glue gun, some wrapping paper or craft paper and something else. Using some cotton stems and some scissors, I'll start by tracing the heart and you'll want to do this in the opposite direction that you want to cover the heart.
This wrapping paper was left over from the Christmas season. aim for the dollar section, but again, you can use craft paper, add Mod Podge to the back of the heart and then place the paper there and then press it all the way down and then let it dry, then I'll add my cotton stems. just weaving them into the vine wreath adding a little bit of glue to my bow and again I did it the same way I showed you the last one and then I'm going to add some constants to the end of the bow as well and then I'm going to add a little bit of glue to the side of the wreath and then I'm going to glue on the heart and this wreath is done it's super

easy

you couldn't change the look of this however you want to use any color of ribbon but I love the way it turned out.
I just think they are absolutely adorable white doilies for these scissors, some burlap and some lace, they sell doilies there and they also have burlap with lace at the Dollar Tree and some twine and then some hot glue, you'll start by cutting a little heart with your burlap, cutting it like this that way you will get even sides and you will be able to adjust the size if you know what size the mat is and You know, repeat the same process for the lace. I wanted it to be a little smaller. Then you are going to hot glue them together.
You can use Mod Podge if you want, but hot glue is a little faster and less messy. You're going to make a few of those hearts depending on what size garland you'd like and then you're just going to apply it to the mat and repeat the process again, then you're going to tie it up, you're going to take your twine. I love this. The burlap twine is useful for a lot of different things and you're going to want to go through one of the holes and wrap it around the back so you don't see it and do this with all the other mats you have and I love the way this turned out we need a small jar, these little hearts again, burlap and lace, some scissors and some hot glue, start by measuring all the way around the jar and then cut the lace out of the burlap to fit. around and you can adjust this to your liking and I just took a little bit of hot glue there and put the length of the burlap on and go ahead and glue it down and do it for the sack on the same side make sure it's nice and tight and then you'll want to repeat that process for the lace, then you can go ahead and take your hearts.
This is where you can be creative and do whatever you want. Here is an option for you if you don't want to. read if you want to have both. I chose one of the bigger hearts it comes in the same package and I hot glued it on and then I made a smaller red heart in the middle by just hot gluing it on and then I decided to add a little more glitter so I took the crystals that they sell there, they come in a strand of four, I cut them down to one and glued them right behind the heart, in the middle and then also on top. the other end and I feel like it added a little more sparkle and I love the way it turned out and then I filled it with some straws from the Dollar Tree and you also don't want to start by putting your heart upside down. and tracing all the scalloped edge and this will just be a rough estimate, cut off the excess burlap that you have because now what we're going to do is draw about an inch and a half. in words from the scalloped edge a nice smaller heart and do the same for the other side and then you want to cut that heart out and this is where you want to be a little more precise and then you can also fold it over just to make sure that both sides are the same and trim as necessary.
Then here you can be creative again. I was mulling over different

ideas

here for what I wanted. I really liked the way it looked, but then you could make it with a red heart in the middle and a pink one with lace all the way through. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted to do, so then I took the acrylic paint and started painting around the edges. You can paint everything if you want. but it's not necessary, take your Mod Podge and go ahead and paint everything around where the burlap heart will be and then press it all the way down to get all the wrinkles out and then apply Mod Podge where needed to make it adhere. and then repeat that process again for the mat part, you are moving everything out and it will dry, don't worry and then go ahead and do the same for the smaller burlap part and there you have it.
I love the way it turned out and then I decided to take the twine and bow just to keep it more of a vintage feel, so it's actually double sided. Now you have a vintage heart on one side and then you have a more modern slate heart on the other side so I hope everyone. I enjoyed these easy Valentine's Day DIYs from Dollar Tree.
