s year-round. I'll show you 15 different ways to create your home decor and holiday gift ideas. Stay within a budget. First, we will make some amazing and very affordable birch

candle

s with the help of a pool noodle. Yes, you can even find pool noodles at Dollar Tree during the holiday season. If you can find a white one, I recommend getting one of those for this project. You'll save a couple of steps. These pool noodles are so easy to cut with a sharp knife you just cut them up and this is where white pool noodles would come in handy, but if you can't find a white one, no problem.

Grab some white paint and let's paint the end. Do a couple of layers. You will get good coverage. You don't want to see any of that red or different color that you might find at the top. Now let's make these pool noodles. They look like birch logs, so this is some scrapbooking paper I found at Hobby lobby, super cheap, only about 50 cents a sheet. We'll cut them to the right size to wrap around our pool noodles and tape them down, and then add a small tea light candle on top for a beautiful birch tiered candle effect, so pretty next to my fireplace, if you have never taken any of these jar pillar candles, I have several ideas to show you how to reuse them and make them look amazing and the first one is very similar to our last project with the birch paper, however, instead of using scrapbooking paper, if you don't want to go shopping, you don't want to spend the money, go to Google search, search for birch background. an image that you like, scale it down and then print it out on regular computer paper and then you can cut it to the right size and just wrap it around your jar candle and do it with tape or I'm using a little glue stick. here to make sure the ending is down for you.

More Interesting Facts About,

I also highly recommend using them for decorative purposes only as you place paper near a flame which is probably not a good idea for lighting them but it is a very cute decorative piece that you can even embellish it further with a bit of ribbon maybe something of greenery and really dress it up to add an accent to your home next time you're at Dollar Tree, get some of these wool scarves, not necessarily to wear, but to use with fabric or for crafting. I can also use the scarves, they are actually a very good quality fabric, super soft and warm, but if you look at it as a fabric, you are actually getting a good deal when it comes to using it for

crafts

, which is what I am doing.

Here I just added a little piece around the top like a piece of ribbon and then cut out a little piece of greenery and added some hot glue underneath to dress it up, just a really quick, simple and easy decorating idea. and this is one that you can do several at the same time and it won't take long. Next we will turn this candle into the cutest snowman with the help of a black paint pen, so adding some eyes, little dots for the mouth, we will also add some buttons on the front, just adding some larger size dots and filling them in, making just three of them, we'll go in with an orange paint pen and add yours. carrot nose there super quick, easy and this also dries very quickly.

I'll be sure to link the paint pens in the description box along with all the supplies I'll be using in today's video to make it easier for you. to see if you want to recreate these projects and then what we're going to do is take some of this fabric that's just a scarf from Dollar Tree, but you can reuse one of those wool scarves if you have one of those on hand, you can use any type of scrap fabric that you already have and we will cut it into your little scarf so that the ends have little slits to make it look more like a scarf and then we will use some glue dots to help us hold the ends of the scarf so they don't look like just floating in the wind.
If you love snowmen, this would be a cute addition to your collection. It's very simple. even the little ones can do it or it would also be a really simple, easy and quick gift idea. Dollar Tree is also improving and now they not only have white candles but they also have different colors so I grabbed three of these red ones. For this next project we also need a few extra things: These jar candles actually have a plastic coating and we need to cut them out so we can make

crafts

with them. You also need some stickers from the cardstock area and you.
You will also need some tape once you have cut the plastic out of your jars, you can use some thick tape or some scrapbooking paper or fabric that you have on hand and just stick it around the bottom to make it look like your candles are placed. on a nice decorative base and then what we're going to do is add the stickers to the front of these candle jars. Of course, you can get more candles if you want to write something different. I'm going to Put Joy on Mine, so just a sticker right in the center of each one, incredibly simple, quick and easy, almost no mess, and like I said, if you want to spell your first name, your last name, Mary, such Maybe you can do something for a different vacation.
Do this easily by changing the color of the candles and also the different letters you would add on the front. This next project is my favorite candle project I've ever done and we're going to use one of those jar pillar candles and we're going to put that in a pot of water, put it on the stove over medium high heat, bring it to a boil with the candle there and let the wax melt completely, then you can remove the wick inside, store it. We're going to reuse it in this project and now we basically have melted wax that we can use, so once we have the wick, we need to glue it to the inside of this cup and yes, this clear glass is from the

dollar

tree

two.
We're going to use some regular super glue, put it on the bottom of our reused wick, and stick it to the inside bottom of our glass. We'll also make sure to keep the wick up with a pencil by simply twisting it. We add our wax melts inside and then for the fun part we can add our scents in there so I'm using some peppermint and cinnamon essential oils just mixing them with a plastic knife to incorporate the scent and then I'm going to let it this sits and hardens most of the time and then before it's completely hardened you can go in and decorate.
I just chopped up some mints, crushed them, and put the little pieces on top, which makes this look so Christmassy. You'll want to reduce the wick to just a quarter inch and a half inch at most and then you can use your candle, it's so perfect for a small hot chocolate bar at a coffee shop or as an accent in your kitchen, but obviously who wouldn't want this as such a cute, simple and economical gift? If you haven't already, I'd love for you to subscribe to Cozy Christmas Cabin and also ring the bell so you never miss one of the fun Christmas videos out there.
With the upcoming holiday season still to come, we are going to be working with some glass jars, so for this first project you will need a glass jar that is flat and doesn't have all the embossed words and decorations that will probably work. better, but use what you have too. I will make this easy to use. If you don't have a vinyl machine, we'll use contact paper and a cookie cutter as a template here to create a little sticker that we'll put on. on the front of this glass jar so if you have a vinyl machine you can obviously cut a design using that too, this one is pretty cool because you can use any cookie cutter you want or create your own design with your hands free and then just use some scissors to cut it out completely, we're going to peel off the paper backing and center it on the front of our mason jar, creating a little stencil that we'll remove later now that we're I'm going to come with some chalk paint .
I definitely suggest using chalk paint for this as acrylic likes to come off and chalk paint sticks to most surfaces and doesn't chip once it dries and also dries much faster so I already you will see. I use chalk paint most of the time on most of my projects as it works with almost anything, so we will cover the entire jar making sure there is no paint left under our little stencil that we put on the front. Did I let the top rim of my jar dry out? I gave it another coat and this is what it looks like after two coats have dried.
You can go ahead and remove the sticker and now you have created a little window on the inside of your jar and now. This is where the candle comes in, we're going to add a little bit of water up to about the trunk of the

tree

or a little bit of our tree inside that window, then you can put a floating candle like that and you'll have a beautiful flicker that then looks very pretty at Christmas and you can see it through that little tree window we created in the front. I love that this project is so versatile.
You can add your own design on the front. You can use any paint color you want to match. your Christmas decor, next we're going to make a really frosty looking mason jar with some mod podge and also some bath salt. I love that you can find both mod podge and bath salt at Dollar Tree, which keeps this budget affordable. pour that bath salt into a plate and then gently rub and twist our glass jar into the bath salt. You can also take pieces in your hand, press it down into the pasta and then fill the holes with more pasta and add. that salt there until it's completely covered, I turn mine over and then I let it dry for an hour or two before embellishing it, so I'm adding a little bit of jute around the edge here and then we'll also add some greenery and some red berries to really dress it up, a little bit of hot glue will also keep it in place and make it stay for us and then you just tie another knot at the top and it holds it all together.
For you this is very nice and especially if you combine it with the last project we created as you see here what a beautiful combination it would be even nice during the winter season and not only for Christmas. Did you know that the

dollar

tree has LED lights? Battery operated pillar candles, sure, but definitely check them out in the store because I've bought a lot of fake stuff in the past, so check them out in the store before you buy them. I'm going to make something very similar to the pillar candles we created. before, but with these battery operated ones, it will be very cute and again, this is versatile so you can customize it however you want.
Let's dress these candles with some ribbons. This is a pretty thick ribbon, maybe two and a half three. inches wide and we're going to hot glue it around each of the candles and it instantly turns them into what look like candy canes, it definitely has that Christmas vibe and we just made sure that both tails are glued to the back. go ahead and do that with all of your pillar candles so they're covered with your tape like this and like I said before, we're going to do the same kind of thing that we did with the red pillar candles before, just adding some banner stickers.
On the front of these write the word joy, but of course be creative, write whatever word you want, depending on the word you use, you will need more candles and I like joy because it is simple and it is an odd number and odd numbers are always come. very good in decoration, but they are very lit at night with the flickering glow of candles. I say this every time I use these cinnamon sticks. If you find them at Dollar Tree, grab them, you won't find them cheaper anywhere else. and I have three bags here. I don't think I've used all three, but I definitely have enough on hand if you're going to recreate this project, we'll use some hot glue to stick these cinnamon sticks all around.
Our candle just add a little glue and then add the sticks one at a time, just hold them there until the hot glue sets before moving on to the next one. Now hot glue doesn't like to stick to wax very well, so this is not one you want to use long term as is, however, if you reinforce it with a ribbon it will help hold all those cinnamon sticks for a long time. time, so I just used a little bit of this red and white. The checkered tape added that around to make sure my candle lasts and lasts.
This next idea you will need one of these smaller regular white pillar candles. You'll also want to grab something unique. You're going to need some wax paper and we're also going to need some decorative tissues or napkins for this or some Christmas tissue paper that you can put like gift bags and things like some very regular cardstock.thin won't work for this, so let's take this scarf that we're going to use. We're going to peel off the backing because, like I said, we want it to be pretty thin and then we're going to permanently incorporate this tissue paper into this candle and make a custom candle.
It's a really cool technique. You simply wrap the scarf around the candle to make sure. it's tight you want to cut it to the exact size and height of your candle now you want to get some of that wax paper out and you don't want to cut it too small but definitely not too big you want it bigger than your tissue paper but you don't want it too big, ya which will hinder the way we are going to take our handkerchief. Now wrap it around our candle again, make sure it's flat, make sure it's tight, and then you're going to take the wax paper. with the wax side facing the candle and facing the tissue paper and wrap it at this point, you will need a heat gun or a hair dryer on high heat.
I'll be sure to link my heat gun in the description box below. I use it all the time for crafts and it works great for In this project you just want to go over the wax paper and basically melt that tissue right into the candle wax and once you have it completely hot in there you can't even tell there is tissue there, it's basically fully incorporated. Put it on the wax, it's very quick and easy and gives you a high-end look. I love it. It's a great way to personalize candles for the holidays or any time of year.
Now we are going to make a beautiful vase of icicles. so our candles can sit and all you need is a glass cylinder vase from Dollar Tree and some white chalk paint, we're going to take an angled brush and very simply, we're just going to take that paint and paint some triangles really pointed. making them thicker at the top and then dragging the paint down to a point, we'll do this around the top edge of our vase. As much as I love Christmas, I'm not the biggest fan of winter, the cold. It just bothers me very, very much, so I live here in the Midwest.
We have pretty cold Christmases, pretty cold winters, snow and all that. Let me know in the comments below if you like winter or not. Paint all your icicles in there, make sure to also go around the top edge of your vase with the paint to make sure everything is nice and finished, let it dry and then it also helps to place it on a round dollar tree mirror. It flashes and the flashing light looks a little more elegant. Add some bath salt to the bottom which looks like our snow and then you can add a little candle in there.
This is another dollar tree pillar candle, just twist it in the bath salt and then you can light your candle and you will have a beautiful candle for winter and for Christmas, you can line them up in the center of a table to create a beautiful landscape of table. Once those candles are lit, you will have such a beautiful look, I love it. A lot and speaking of centerpieces, our next project we are going to grab one of these gold charger plates from Dollar Tree and also some of their selections, they have some really pretty ones, we are going to incorporate them into a round centerpiece.
We'll also need some dollar tree styrofoam. We're going to use some of those battery operated pillar candles and we're going to cut that Styrofoam at different heights so we have this ladder effect and then we'll be. We're going to take our hot glue and stick them all together and also stick them on our charging plate. We'll add our candles back on top of there while we add the picks and all of our embellishments into the Styrofoam. I like to take the separators so I have all the greenery, I have all the berries together, all the pine cones together and then I add them here and there, balancing them as I go, we're just trying to make sure we cover all the Styrofoam, so do not you see them.
I also grabbed some of those gold glitter berries that you can also find at Dollar Tree. I added some glamor and sparkle to this and also helped cover some of those empty spaces. I just added those candles in there. to make sure I had everything nice and covered and this centerpiece that you would never know is from Dollar Tree, it looks so luxurious, it looks so beautiful and it was less than ten dollars to put together if you are in a pinch and need a super quick decorating idea Last minute definitely pick up some blueberries at the grocery store, you'll need a glass jar, just fill it with some water and drop some of those blueberries on top, add a little floating candle, go ahead and light it and you're done. have a small piece of decor or instant centerpiece or something that you can add to a buffet or the centerpiece of our centerpiece of your tables and this looks so elegant and high end but it literally takes almost no time to create that touch The color red definitely has that Christmas vibe, you could even add a little bit of greenery in there too.
It's very quick and easy. I love quick and easy, especially around the holidays, and if you need a quick last-minute gift idea, Dollar Tree has plenty. Great ready made jar candles so you don't even have to make your own candle, they are actually excellent quality, they smell great too and if you want to dress one up quickly and easily, grab some scrapbook paper, trace the lid, use your scissors, cut it out. and use a little glue stick to then place that paper on top of the lid, so quick and easy, let it dry and then we'll dress it up some more.
I love washi tape so I use it anywhere I can. This cute Christmas washi tape. I'm going to take that hot glue end down and then run it around the edge of the candle lid cut out on that end. I'll add a little more hot glue to make sure it doesn't ride up. Twist the lid. Not only do you have a quick decoration, but you also have a super quick last minute gift idea.
