$100 PHO & "PISSING SHRIMP" Seafood Buffet In Phnom Penh Cambodia
Feb 27, 2020Good morning from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I love being able to walk outside the hotel and it always smells like roast meat. I don't even know where it comes from. I smell it. It is in the air. It's breakfast time and I'm thinking about noodles for breakfast. because that's how it's done here and fun is actually a very popular food in this country. There is something you really should try while you are here and this is a very interesting beef suit with different cuts of meat and an egg. Let me see the egg. and plug in before the noodles look beautiful they use the thicker noodles which are very common in Hanoi in the vegetables different cuts of meat look good you guys have to come here and try this father it has a rich meat taste I haven't tasted since i left vietnam the egg adds a bit of creaminess to it oh man those chillies really heat it up like i just threw those chillies in there.
I didn't think it would affect the soup that much. Adding a Any Hot Sauce for sriracha this broth and it doesn't look that spicy, but oh my gosh, what's that nice hint of spice with a slight creaminess from the egg and incredibly deep beef flavor? I tend to like the skinny noodles better but these noodles are a little softer a little more of a chewy texture which is great as the regular flavor and I love how oh right Liz you're so good it's also just two blocks from my hotel which makes this even better now $5.00 for this in this country.
I feel like it's a little steep, but it's absolutely delicious, especially with the other herbs and Bailey we're going to put this this brings us every moment that makes it even more spectacular this is the best part the bottom of the ball without a little bit of greens and meat and you would also like to dive for buried treasure i know probably for most of you guys the best part of wa the king is copying your cup but for me its definitely noodles in my bowl this is a very good place , probably not the best idea to keep up with that already sweaty heat, but that's worth it right now on the way to the Central Market, it's actually really beautiful with the Art Deco vision I look at it so nice that it was built more than 80 years ago years old and this place is huge it houses hundreds of different stalls selling clothes to food basically whatever you're looking for they have it and it seems like you walk in all you see is jewelry stores and this place actually kept it It's pretty cool inside, but this is the part that really interests me.

I liked. for fun like shrimp heads and shrimp legs and crackers this becomes a super charged shrimp chip. ping sauce would be even better when even as its absolutely delicious oh man i really like this i mean i grew up eating shrimp crackers and this is like the best shrimp cracker so these ladies steam a coconut rice cake oh it's great fluffy the little mochi is a sweet coconut ball and i stay here. It was like a box and I take it home and pop it in my mouth randomly throughout the day.That's just a bit of happiness deep down. they have a very small cut like little minnows and these things are fantastic check it out this is the noodles and it's unlike any detail I've ever seen before and they stir fry some eggs green scallions and a Sausage and this is one of the most popular noodle dishes here in Cambodia. That's great. These noodles because they are made with rice. They have a spongy or regular noodle-like texture so the mouthfeel is just awesome mmm so chew. and bouncy the sauce daddy can taste a king of sugar lots of it umami from the soy has a little bit of heat and from that blazing hot cooking platform the beef is tender it's a crispy garlicky chives a little bit of chili sauce this could be something those best friends you never have this is a magic stir fry masterpiece so good good with that egg through that's just some amazing creaminess really trying to get a steak sandwich but still low oh funny little market this has a great little foods stir fry noodles after huh i gotta try that oh my gosh this is hank so she is huh you have a diner yeah if that sells puff pastry and this is called achoo yeah , and it looks like a redrock.
She is putting cane sugar in it. well it wasn't mango guava tamarind 55 gives you a ton of fruit ok let's go to your cafeteria oh this is yours look at that overachiever so welcoming i agree but number two oh oh my gosh this is so fancy stone ball huh so like some sort of educated december second of the day you know what they say you can never be too funny but try to sing that real fast ten times real funny let's try this, what do you call this again? Do you want to try this? between like a crabapple and sure it's a little slimy solving chile I really like green mangoes it's very crunchy and sweet I like that fun number three of the day visit The Cove to this is a hundred dollar bull there really is nothing in life like yo gimme its like taking your taste buds on a first class flight nothing like the feel of great Wagyu beef the melty now feels amazingly fatty flavors when you can have two of your favorite things in the world and just make an extreme mix of kobe beef and thumb press disney forget cinderella this is the love story i should be talking about its the best beef noodle soup with the best meat such nice people and that basically goes for everyone i met in this country so far i am in which

temple right now and i slept walking around in the middle of a city could it be this majestic serene temple or holy structure you see there are many made in Thailand and definitely here in Cambodia too and the legend behind this temple is that in the 14th century there was a girl named Penh who found Buddhist holy relics on a hill, so a temple was erected on the hill and a city received his name of the city of course was Phnom Penh which means pins great huh good afternoon this has been a really really fun vacation so far because I made it a point to take a nap every day between meals to get back to my traditions from childhood and take a nap in the middle of the day anyway it's dinner time I think I found a is a good place and I'm here for thisseafood

in an Asian country and not had an amazing time and I expect this one to be pretty impressive as well. Forty two dollars. a person starts in 30 minutes what's the only crazy thing about thisbuffet
is that first of all tons of different types of lobster and jumbo shrimp. A couple of notable things. They eat, they have Asian lobster, it's fresh and it tastes much better. River prawns, they are some of the best tasting as we will find them in South East Asia, so I know that a lot of the food here is not cooked at all.So what they are doing is taking raw seafood and cooking it to order like almost everything almost nothing is already cooked also pee strip shrimp this is very expensive. Oops I mean overall it's not a huge buffet but that's some quality ingredients I've already seen this area basically it's where all the seafood and all the meats live and this is really where you need to be the liveliest there thank you so that this place they sauté it we'll put it in soup on that side they have grill employers so basically whatever way you want to enjoy your seafood they can make it happen so on this side with some lobster a the grill, king prawns, lamb steak, basically the same ingredients, except a bit of grass was added. station here they basically make everything you order from tom yum soup to papayas and even dim sum ma'am many things are already cooked until you actually order which is pretty good this is my new stir-fried seafood and i always order asian lobster because again that's something and it gets fresh here oh thank you my grilled seafood is here and my grilled meat is here.
I have a lot of things in my first round called stir fry. lobster with a bunch of toppings this looks delicious the aroma this thing is giving off is already quite heady I wrote butter garlic tamarin that's a spicy lobster tail oh heck yeah so these fresh peppers are so interesting so instead of using Just like regular powdered peppers, they are using fresh peppers which are much more aromatic and flavorful. Oh yes, there is a small piece of mantis shrimp. If you're in the know, here's what you should get if you see this buffet end up soggy. in chive garlic sauce and you have to eat these some of those little peppers the meat is so sweet and succulent this is one of the best seafood you can find anywhere on the planet and if you can find it in a buffet take advantage of that alone be careful these things will stab you to death this stir fry is so amazing everything you love about seafood the natural sweetness is not covered at all just highlighted by the garlic and peppers just wonderful wonderful this is my other prom party favorite massive rubber and head don't forget to suck on all of that this is some of the sweetest seafood you'll find anywhere bliss i found you the steak is pretty tender just make sure you eat it as soon as it comes off the grill, otherwise it will get tough kinda bad yes yes a thousand times yes lamb cooked perfectly big scar juicy tender and they give you so many kinds of chili sauces pi sing yeah im just experimenting with a couple here mmm oh well that chilli sauce is my jam if that was a song it would just pee all day spicy i only had sweet and in this country they use a lot of palm sugar so that the dishes are sometimes a bit sweet not too much then but palm sugar you can tell the difference between that as you know the artificial sweets in the scrap it's actually a nice sweet taste both I'm going to dress up in a very typical southeast asian flavor, sweet, citrus, garlic, tons of herbs, do you know what it is?
The nice thing about adding these sauces is that often when you eat a seafood buffet as good as seafood, it gets boring when all you have is maybe dramatic butter or cocktail sauce when you have all these different great sauces. flavor. Just like my favorite show, Brooklyn 9-9 never gets boring. I love it, especially this one. deal with this name i mean it's perfectly grilled and look at that juice oozing from the lobster and that beautiful color from the peeing shrimp understand tinder beyond words that's like me shrimp cocktail definitely an a-plus-plus in the best of fresh seafood here stop peeing shrimp for sure its almost like having a dessert like natural ocean dessert what is this? oh just a regular pork bun huh oh my god that's hot not the best button in the world give it a try I feel like I like the dough more than I like the inside but that's something that can be fixed, some black forest ham, yeah i'll make this work.
I feel like that's an improvement. Citrus It's what I expected from tom yum soup hmm Wow a fluffy fluffy in the ridiculously tender chunks of salmon though if you see the soup up here just get a bunch of chunks in this you don't need to get that much broth because broth not really that good, but Lord of all that is tender in the world, that might be one of the most tender pieces of salmon I have ever put in my mouth. I mean, look at the stains, it completely falls apart. a saving grace from the soup here.
I am going to go back and have a lot of chunks of this fish grit soup, especially when the fish chunks are nice and fatty. I definitely need more of that in my life. They just told me. here to this sauce it's called cocoon sauce and they said it would be great with seafood oh yeah oh I want you to define one more cooking method well so you can ask it to steam for you too so they look like they finished a little bit of garlic and a little bit of butter let's see how it turns out that's so funny and it makes sense but no one is really touching these other dishes so everyone just eats seafood hey that's just a characteristic of asians it's like we can never let the buffet win as soon as we walk into a buffet it's a battlefield me as long as i wait for my next round of seafood let's do a little preemptive dessert tasting High Desert's are solid cakes are really good and not too sweet mouth melting but nothing really too special to write home is satisfying I think this buffet is really an appetizer dessert side dishes forget about all that just focus in the seafood get the salmon here racial Saleem fat in the salmon is so important I like my of course a little fat and this is a goomar 800 GCM it melts your mouth how give me a couple more lamb popsicles and dunk them in my favorite sauce this sauce i will miss it when i put it down this sauce is like the superman rose she just made for this lamp yeah boy can she just put her baby rack superman on it because lovei got for superman and this rack of lamb is pretty much the same and i love superman alive this is so delicious trust me this is better than any chili mint horseradish sauce wherever you turn off your lamp oh thats perfect i think i am on my 10th round of seafood once in a while as seafood doesn't really fill me up like ever so eat some bread just do this oh hell yeah thanks that's all Shane just do this we're sure that your money is worth and me.
I'm pretty sure I did. Oh here we have two new versions of steamed lobster with shellfish and then they also make you a shellfish chowder. This lobster is steamed with a little garlic butter. Don't waste that juice. put it stir fry it's my favorite way to eat this here oh man plasters perfect a little garlic a little chives love it i'm gonna try it with this sauce mmm this is a purple for super take my little car head i'll add a little chili for me Steamed pron head cocktail is so good that it is able to retain much more of the natural sweetness, it takes longer but that is definitely the way to go if you just want that great taste of the prawns.
I'll have it grilled and I love grilled lobster prawn bisque. light rock without a lot of added ingredients it's a bit of a sweep surely because of the sweetness of the lobster and prawn and a bit of everything in a bit of
pissing
shrimp is good there's another way to do it if you want maximum flavor mantis shrimp I love this so much No i know i love this because it's not just because this thing costs so much money it's rush seriously try it this shrimp is unbelievably sweet honestly i'll have this over lobster any day.Full buffet price around $44 is definitely one of the smallest seafood buffets I've been to in Asia. I mean now it's definitely like one of those overwhelming places like Spiral or Fresh, but the price is pretty similar I mean. this cost as much as the fresh buffet i went to the philippines which i could still be content with than the buffet in vietnam probably the two best seafood buffets in asia i've been to so the price isn't that much lower but it has a lot less variety the good points of this is i never saw mantis shrimp at a buffet and that sucker is unbelievably expensive so just for that factor alone i would happily pay this price just for as much as i can mantis shrimp i think the preparation for seafood the stir fry industry there are some of the best especially the sauce they use in this stir fry it's a unique and fantastically delicious way to consume seafood and that's something I don't see a lot at other buffets so overall , this place doesn't come here for the dessert, it doesn't come here for the appetizers, just understand that you come here, are you spending the forty five bucks just for seafood?
I mean, you won't find a quality seafood. at this price in th us It was definitely worth it I mean honestly if this buffet was in the US it would easily cost 120-150 bucks per person so I guess I'm saying it's in terms of everything What you can conceive of buffets in Asia is probably not that. one though has a very unique seafood item and the stir fry is probably one of the most delicious ways I have ever prepared seafood in any polish so if you are a seafood lover and you are in Phnom Penh I would recommend this. place because the seafood alone is great, just keep your expectations low.
