I have a lot to show you today, so let's go ahead and get Just in the video for this first project, I'm starting with this white cathedral frame from Dollar Tree. I'm going to remove the plate and remove the glue in the center. Then I'm going to take this wall decal and I'm going to trace around the edge of my frame and basically what I'm going to do here is a stained glass look for the background. Once I've traced it out, I'll go ahead and cut out the frame shape. then I will apply hot glue along the edges of the decal and then place the frame right on top.

Next, I'll take these unfinished wood pieces from Dollar Tree and some Waverly Antique Wax and apply a pretty thin coat along the sides. of my tray making sure to get all the way to where the handles are and then I even did it inside as well and I'm going to continue doing that around my tray and then I'm going to take a paper towel and mix it all up from the wax just to get the excess off and you can see which beautifully picks up the grain of the wood, then I'm going to take the mini palette and I'm going to do the same, I'm going to paint it with the wax. making sure to get into all the creases and crevices in there and then wiping off any leftover wax and I have a beautiful wood finish.

Now I'm going to take my greenery. This greenery actually costs five

dollar

s from ikea and I'm separating the pieces. which I want to use for this project and it's a great option if you want to do little succulent projects for five bucks, you can separate these pieces so I'm going to start on the back of the palette. I'm going to place the tallest pieces in the back, then I'm going to cut some more greenery in basically three different sizes. I'm working from the back to the front and I'm going to place the smaller pieces in the front and I'm using the trowel because I wanted it to have the look of a flower bed, you know how the flowers line up in that straight line, next I'm going to take this

dollar

tree

faux fur ribbon and I'm going to heat it up a little bit. glue it down and wrap it around my tray.

It's the perfect size to cover the handles, which is what I'm going for. I didn't want it to look like a tray, I actually wanted it to look like a planter for my cathedral window, so I'm just covering all of those handles, next I'm going to put a little bit of hot glue just in the top center and then I'm going to place my window right inside, it actually fits perfectly, you don't really need to hot glue it. I did it just in case and then add your greenery and now I have my flower bed for this next project.
I'm starting with a galvanized dollar

tree

can. I'm going to place it on a white foam board and trace it. with a marker and that will give me the shape of my cube and then I'll take an x-acto knife and go around the edges. Is not perfect. This will just go inside my little pot. Galvanized pot, so once I've cut everything out, I'm going to take it out and now I'm going to keep the f and the s and then I'm going to remove the bottom or the bottom of the galvanized can. I meant fairies. instead of flowers so I'm going to keep the f and the sum just because it adds a fun little touch since you already have the stickers there so with 100 acetone nail polish remover I'm going to remove those letters and then replace it with these letter stickers of the dollar tree that begin with the r in the center.
I'm going to go out, tilting it a little bit like the original writing was and now, instead of flowers and garden, it says fairies and garden. Once again I'm going to use my nail polish remover and I'm going to use a paper towel just to remove all the writing on one of these taller, thinner galvanized buckets and these are going to be the two buckets that I'm going to use for this project. Next, I'm going to take a dollar tree candle holder, apply some hot glue and then glue it right in the center of the bottom cube, add another layer of hot glue around the edges and now I'm going to place that white. foam board that I cut out and I'm basically giving this height to build my project.
Now I'm going to place that tall, thin cube on top, not in the center, further back, I'm going to trace around it. so I know where I'm going to place these pieces of wood, so they were actually magnets that I've had in my craft collection for a long time and I'm going to use them to build my fairy gardens, so starting towards the front center , I'm going to start hot gluing them together and overlapping them a little when I get to the center. I'm going to use a large wooden round and then a smaller wooden round and this will create the effect of little steps up to my fairy garden door, so I hot glued the fairy garden door and then I'm going to glue officially hot glue the top cube now and just in case I'm going to go ahead and add more heat glue all the edges and then this is what it looks like so far so to add details to these wood stems I'm going to take two of them and I will hot glue them to each side of my fairy door just to give it a little height.
The accessories I'm going to add can be seen there, they're just in the corners and sides, so I love these fairy garden pieces. This is a small beehive and a windmill. I'm going to hot glue them to the wood. stems I just placed and this is what it looks like there now I'm going to take some moss and I'm going to hot glue the red flowers and the red mushrooms on the side you don't have to do this I just preferred not to have the red , so I'm mixing it with the moss. This is what it looks like and then to give it a more cohesive look, those empty spaces between the wood stems and the door I'm going to add a little more hot glue. and moss.
I'm going to repeat the same process on the other side of the door as well and then add a little more moss detail on the wooden stem pieces and then I thought it would be fun to add a little on top. just to make that door blend in a little bit and really pop against the galvanizing and do the same thing on both sides now those pieces of white foam board that you can see on the sides I'm going to grab some foliage from the tree dollar. I'll just cut them out and then bend them back until they're separated individually and then I'll press them against the foam board and that will make them stand up nicely on the sides of my fairy. garden there, so here's one side.
I'm going to do the same thing on the other side as well and then anywhere you can still see the white foam board, I'm going to add hot glue and a little more moss and just stick them in the cracks there and basically hide any board of white foam that you can still see and you can really do a lot of different things with this fairy garden. I know Dollar Tree has a lot of different fairy garden accessories so I could have a lot of fun with this project and then wherever I put the foliage I'll add more hot glue and moss just to give it a really nice, clean look all the way around.
Now I'm going to grab some more plants from Ikea, I have a hanging one and some normal plants. I'm going to stick them on top and of course if you have a fairy garden, you need some fairy lights, so I'm going to take these dollar tree fairy lights and, um. Start wrapping it from above. I'm going to surround all the little fairy garden accessories that I had glued on and that will make those little accessories stand out much more and that's how my whimsical fairy garden turned out. so for my next project I'm going to use some of these dollar tree rollers and I have this spare piece of wood board.
I asked my husband to cut my rolling pins in half. These will be the legs of my plant stand. I will then continue the same process with my piece of wood and use the antique wax to give it a really beautiful stain and once you wipe off the excess wax you can see it picks up the grain of the wood so beautifully. and this will be my base, this is the one I'm going to use for the project. I'm going to grab some Waverly chalk paint, this is the white chalk paint, and a brush, and I'm going to go ahead and fill in these stencils.
I'm going to continue doing that for the entire square of this stencil that I'm using and then I'm going to let it dry before removing it just to avoid any kind of paint bleeding, then I'm going to line up where my stencil left off and continue to fill it in with a little chalk paint. If you bleed, you will see it appear shortly. I have a little trick for that, but go ahead and continue applying the paint to your stencil. wait for it to dry and then remove it once again, line it up where you left it and continue with your template and do the same method for my entire board and then here I'll show you this dollar tree furniture scratch cherry marker.
I love this one, this cherry color, they come in a pack of three, but I went ahead and used it anywhere that bleed through the paint just to give it a cleaner look and then I took some mod podge and a paint brush. foam and gently applied a layer of that on top of my plant stand making sure to cover all sides as well once it dries. I'm going to turn it over and apply some hot glue to all four legs, of course you can use wood glue. I used hot glue, that's what I had available right next to me, but here's my plan for this next project.
I'm going to use a white frame and a sheet of cork from Dollar Tree. I'm going to remove the backing and use the paper. there to cut the cork sheet into the correct size for my frame, then I will take a faux leather ribbon, this is the dark brown color. I'm going to remove the adhesive backing from the cork sheet and apply it. The tape right on the sticky part will hold it really well and I'll cut it to the right size and then line it up and continue putting the tape all the way to the bottom of the cork sheet, basically I'm giving It looks like a full sheet of faux leather with the cork or, sorry, with the brown faux leather tape.
Once that was done I trimmed the edges and gave it a really nice clean look and then I'll move on. and remove the glass and place it back into my frame and this will be the back of my project. Now I'm going to use the lighter color of brown, it's almost like a camel color, a faux leather ribbon. to cut six smaller pieces, I'm going to fold those pieces in half and cut them at an angle like you were cutting the ends of a ribbon and these will be my labels. I'm going to take this white metallic marker and I'm going to write in a very small cursive.
I'm going to write one, two, three, four, five, six and I just wanted to number them, but basically I wanted to see the very small writing that goes along with this project. Now I'm going to grab these butterfly die cuts, they're gorgeous, they're also from Dollar Tree, I love the colors, these were the six that I'm choosing for this project, I'm going to fold them in half and really all I'm doing here is give them that. A little extra dimension next, I'm going to take some black spray paint and these glass jar lids and spray paint the top and bottom.
I'm going to place my butterflies inside and then where the wings join because they flap a little bit. little bit where the wings meet the metal portion, I'm going to put little dots of hot glue. I'm going to continue that for my six butterflies and now my little butterflies are in their little glass jar lid cages. Next thing I'm going to take some white cardstock and I'm going to outline the lid of the mason jar and place it flat on the cardstock. I'm going to do that for my six butterflies. Then I'm going to cut the edges as close as possible. to the lid of the mason jar and really all I'm doing here is adding that white background to make the colors of the butterflies really pop starting in the center of my frame.
I'm going to glue them on and really just place your butterflies wherever you are. I would like to and now those mini labels that I wrote I'm going to start in the center that way I can have them evenly spaced. I'm going to start with two and five, put little dots of glue on them, and then place them down. Next, I'm going to take some silver push pins also from Dollar Tree and I'm going to place them in the exact corner that I cut, not on the tape, right in the corner, and it will look like it's holding them up. tags in place, I'm going to continue doing that with all of them and this is how it turned out for the next project.
I'm starting with this plastic potting bucket and some Waverly white chalk paint and a foam paint brush. Basically, I'm going to paint. my cube is white all over once it dries I added a second coat just to give it a white colorreally nice deep all the way around, that's how it turned out and then I'm going to take the same brown faux camel color. leather ribbon I'm going to fold it in half to determine the size of the handles I want to use I'm going to cut the exact same size for the other side of my cube I'm going to apply some hot glue halfway and then fold it like this, the faux leather tape is the same on each side, so basically just fold it over so you don't see that kind of lighter color, trim the edges to give it a clean look, and then once again take some of those silver thumbtacks and I'm going to place with two empty spaces in the middle, there you can see, and I'll just take them out a little bit and repeat the same process on the other side of my bucket, now my little bucket. it has handles and then I'm going to use three of these mini unfinished wooden paddles one more time with my vintage Waverly wax.
I'm going to go in and paint making sure I get everything in, these are all a little difficult to paint. but you have to get inside all the little folds and then I wiped them off with a paper towel and now I'm going to hot glue them together I'm going to stack them so I'm going to start with one and add hot glue to the top put another one right on top add hot glue to the top of that and then place the third one on top of that keep it in place to dry and now I have the wooden trellis that I'm going to use for the center of my bucket I'm going to take the foliage from this dollar tree and I will remove the individual stems.
I really wanted to use this foliage for this project because it has a lot of little stems coming out of one side, so I thought that's what it would be like. It would be very nice to use it to climb the trellis and then there is no rhyme or reason to this. I'm just gluing them into empty slots and then going up to the top just to give it the look of those growing weeds. above the trellis, so this is how it looked next. I'm going to take a dollar tree foam block, add some hot glue, and place it in the center.
These were other plants I had at Ikea. I'm just going to take them out of the bucket. and I use it to fill my bucket and then hot glue on top of the floral foam to attach my trellis and then fill the back with a little more greenery just to give it that extra strength to keep the trellis standing for this next project. I'm using the tri-color brown faux leather ribbon and this dollar tree rainbow sign. I'm going to use extra strong hot glue to start layering my ribbon from top to bottom. I'm going to alternate each color of brown. and I'm going to trim the edges as I go and work my way up to the top center of the curve.
Now the curve. First I'm going to measure the length of the tape. I'm going to turn it around. and trace it will be easier to cut this way rather than gluing it and then trying to cut around the curve so I'm going to cut my curve once I've traced it and then use the glue stick to apply the glue. to the rainbow and then place my ribbon or sorry, yes, my ribbon and this would be a really cute idea for a nursery or baby shower. You can use any color of ribbon you want, but I'm going to continue.
Doing the same thing in the center of the rainbow, I'm going to flip it over, trace it and then cut it out before gluing it just to give it a really nice uniform arc. I'm going to work until the end. rainbow and then once you get to the end of the rainbow you can see where the clouds meet. I'm going to stop there and then I'm going to trim any excess tape along the edges and now I'm going to take a little bit more. ikea greenery. I'm going to remove two, maybe I made four, four, four of these stems and then I bent them to give it a little more height and I'm going to hot glue them to each side of the rainbow and then to the next. for the clouds, um, and then I added more hot glue just to make it a little bit safer for the clouds.
I wanted to give it that

spring

touch, so I got these white flowers from Dollar Tree. I'm going to use two. packets for each side and I'm going to be heat gluing the flowers and I really want to keep the shape of the cloud so I'm going to start with the outside edges first and I'm going to go in and just Like I'm working on both sides just to make it even here , I just sped up the process a little bit for you, but these are all hot glued on and then I'll cover the greenery as well, but it will still give you that look it's kind of a fun fluffy cloud, very appropriate for spring with the flowers and I do the same on the other side for the next project.
I'm using two of these mini wooden paddles and some wooden cubes that I'm going to add hot. stick it on the bottom of one palette and then place it on the top of the other one that I'm going to use later and how many did I use? 12 of these wooden cubes. I'm going to stick three on top of each other. They're going to be the legs what I'm making here is a park bench, so those are going to be the legs of the park bench, so once I have my stacks of three, I'm going to hot glue them where the legs of the park bench would be. two on the front and the back and then take my old Waverly wax dye once again and dye them this time.
I'm not going to use a paper towel to clean up the remains. I wanted to give this just a deep, very dark brown color, so I applied the wax and then let it dry here's the brown color I wanted to use now these frames are from Dollar Tree. I love the pattern of these. I have a five by seven and a four by six. I'm going to remove the backing and I'm not actually going to use the backing of the five by seven, the four by six I'll use again, but once I have the frames I'm going to take my Waverly white chalk paint and just the side of With the foam brush , I'm going to very, very lightly brush the paint and that will really pick up those details of the frame, so I'll continue to do that with the smaller frame as well, this will be the base. of my project and this time I'm cleaning it up, it's going to give a really beautiful kind of rustic brown.
I guess the look I was going for was some sort of Spanish tile, so that's what I did there, so now I'm going to warm up. glue the smaller frame on top of the larger one, this will make them look like steps, so now this lantern that I'm going to take apart, this is from the dollar tree, basically I'm going to use all the same elements. Again I'm making a lantern here so I'm going to cut those pieces of plastic well I guess not I'm just going to cut them off and then I'm going to break them off and this is going to be the top of my lantern so I'm going to break off both pieces and the same with the bottom.
I'm going to break those pieces too. This will be the base of my flashlight. Actually, it's going to be kind of like a flower pot, so now I'm going to use this desktop garden, kind of a dollar tree structure flag. I'm going to glue part of the top lantern down. I'm going to place the garden flag in the center and then hot glue it. the other piece right on top and then the light pieces. I'm going to hot glue those pieces onto the post. Then I'm going to use the base to keep it standing and then I'm going to hot glue each side of the bottom of the lantern for the type of pot base below, I'm going to take more dollar tree fairy lights, I'm going to add some batteries and I'm going to weave them through the bottom.
I'm going to guide the fairy lights over to what's going to be my light pole, there my flashlight, make sure all the fairy lights are all the way in and then I'm just using some black mechanical tape to wrap the rest of the lights. fairy around the post, hot glue some foam on the bottom there and then attach it to the side of my frame. I'm going to hot glue the battery pack down. The battery pack opens at the top so you can still change batteries. Now I'm going to add some moss along the glass part of my frame, this will be the part that goes under the bench, just sticking some moss in there, filling all that in where I hot glued the bottom parts of the post, I added the same moss around it, like the top of the light.
Just to make it a little more fun and whimsical, I will then add hot glue to each of the legs of my park bench and then glue it directly onto my base and then if the park bench needs a little height you can add more moss in the background now I'm going to take some kind of black label, it was a dollar tree label and I'm going to trace the handles that were on the flashlight and this will be my sign. I printed a spring street sign and then hot glued it to the lantern handle, added a little hot glue around the edges with some moss and then used a string from one of the mason jar lids. glass to hang my sign, now I'm going to fill it. in my planter with a little more greenery and some white dollar tree flowers and this succulent just adds a nice little touch to my park bench so for this next project I'm going to use four of these wooden dollar tree triangles and some Waverly White Moss or White Awesome Waverly White Chalk Paint.
I'm going to use a foam brush and go around the edges, um, basically just to paint the inside of these without spreading them all over the top sides there and then I can go in with a brush just for the fine details in the corners, so one Once they're all painted, I'll start by gluing three of them together and using hot glue, I'll just squeeze them dry and then attach the top one. right on top, squeeze it now, that same furniture scratch marker that I like so much, the cherry color, I'm going to trace along the triangles, this will make the colors really pop and this is what I'm going to do To take another one of these wall decals and I'm going to cut along the corner lines and do that in the four corners and in the center as well, here's the shape so I'm going to use three of these wall decals.
These are the rooms. I'm making a fold so I can use them as a template to cut out the remaining three. So this is my template. I want to know exactly what size I need to cut all three to place on my project, so here is my template. Then I'll line it up with the other three that I'm going to use that don't have wrinkles and I'll cut them out. Here are the three once they are finished and then where I am. I'm just going to push it right into the top of my triangle and then press firmly, it's sticky so it'll stay on pretty well.
I'm going to take a few more thumbtacks this time, I'll use three. I'm going to place them. two on the top of my triangles one on the top there and then this three pack of terra cotta pots from Dollar Tree that I'm painting with some Waverly white chalk paint I do that with all three and while they're drying I took a marker and I cut out the center of my wall decal to give it the look of a tile, so I just traced it out to make sure it was a nice square and then cut it out.
I had this in my craft stash. This was just a leftover piece of frame from a Dollar Tree Project. I liked the size of it so I'm going to wrap the edges with the same brown faux leather ribbon, hot glue them together and once I had my square shape I just flipped it over, removed the backing and then hot glued it. rest of the pieces down and now that I have the base for what will be my mosaic, I'm going to remove the backing and place it right in the center. I'm going to use four more push pins and I'm going to put them in each corner of my tile and then right where the sides meet, I'm going to add just a little bit of hot glue and it's going to look really nice in the center.
I'm going to remove one of the three more pieces of greenery and glue them directly into my pots and now I'm going to use these hanging mason jar lids. I'm going to use three of them. I'm going to wrap them so they don't hang completely. Look, I'm just wrapping them. once to raise the height a little bit, so instead of just hanging them, I wrap them once and hang them and then I'm going to put my pots right inside and now my pot is ready for this next project. I'm using this Dollar Tree flag sign and a Dollar Tree bag.
I'm cutting off the sides of the bag because I love this wood pattern and I want to use the longer side pieces. I'm going to take my extra strength. hot glue on extra strong glue stick and use it to apply it to my sign and start attaching the paper and wood bag strips, cut the bottom to shape and then I'm going to cut the other side of the bag like well I'm lining up where the pattern meets almost so it looks a little cohesive and then I add more glue to the bottom and then trim the edges.
Next I'm going to take the back of this sign which is galvanized. I'm going to hot glue it to the center of my sign. I'm going to grab some moss and double-sided tape. I love this trick. I've used it before in the past, but if you want a really nice, clean moss border. on anything you can use double sided tape so I'm going to frame the galvanized part and then continue with my moss around the frame that I used with the double sided tape if you crush it. down very very well and just line up the edge there, shake it a little bit, you can see it gives you that perfect shapewith double-sided tape.
Now I'm going to take three wooden stems and I'm going to hot glue them to the sign here, you can see I'm hot gluing one. I'm going to add some moss on top for detail. I'm going to add hot glue to the side of a bird. This is something like that. This is kind of like a family bird that I'm doing, so it would be like daddy bird, mommy bird, she'll go on top and then the two little birds will be in the middle, but I'm basically just doing the same thing I'm gluing the hot wood stem down adding more glue adding moss and then gluing my birds on the sides this is what it looks like and then to give a pop of color to the top I'm going to take my same cherry furniture marker and just I will color.
Now for the handle, I'm going to use some twine and this 20 pack of wooden hair beads. I'm going to tie a double knot on one side and then intertwine my beads and then tie a double knot on the other. This will be my new handle. I'm going to cut the thread that was on the sign and then hot glue the handle on. I love these dollar tree mirror pens. I'm going to remove the sticker and paint them white and now I'm going to I'm going to line them up from the base. You can see the bottom of the feather is at the bottom of the middle of my sign.
I'm going to go ahead and glue them together and then the wood stems I'm going to take one, add an a, that's my last name initial and then hot glue it on so I have almost like you know kind of a stem like a banner. familiar, so here's my bird family for this latest project. I'm starting with eight of these. dollar tree frames. I'm going to line them up and then start on the top four by adding hot glue to the sides and squeezing them in really well so they stay in place nicely. I'm going to repeat the same process for the bottom four frames. and then add hot glue in the middle of my frame sections and glue them together.
Now I'm going to take these little mini glass containers from Dollar Tree and I'm going to start at the corners first and apply hot glue to these. They will be my little floral vases for this project to hold their center. Then I'll add hot glue between them and this is what it will look like below. I'm going to use this lavender from Dollar Tree. I loved this floral. You can see that the pieces were very small, so they look like little flower buds. I'm going to remove the amount that I want to fill in my glass containers and I'm going to set that greenery aside, it's very beautiful greenery.
I'm going to use it now, I'm going to cut out the purple portions of this lavender so I can have a really nice white and then each piece I'm going to put inside one of those glass containers and then I'm going to put the little cork in. Cover the top again and do that for all my containers on the bottom and now this greenery that I just showed you and that I really like, I want to keep using. I'm taking these lilac flowers, this greenery here is and it's not that pretty, but I wanted to replace the stems, so I'm going to remove the lavender bits and just change them to the greenery that I like.
I'm going to figure out the location of the sides of these because I'm going to wrap them with ribbon almost like a bouquet, so I'm going to cut them and bend the wires to get the size I would like. That same brown faux leather tape I'm going to measure a piece for the center. I'm going to hot glue it on and then wrap it around the sides making sure to glue it underneath as well, so now I'm going to match up where I lined up my flowers with the ribbon so you can see the brown color. exactly the same portion of the flower bouquets and then I add hot glue to the bottom and I tilt it a little bit from the bottom of my frame and now I have, you know, my little flower bed faces and then the actual flower bouquets and then I decided I wanted to add a little more ribbon to the center to give it that kind of window pane effect as well, so I did that.
Now I'm going to take more of these dollar tree hanging jar lids I'm going to Trace those onto some white cardstock. I'm going to cut them out and then I'm going to hot glue them on the inside pressing against the surface I want it to be basically all the way to the top so I'm going to add hot glue and press it all the way down it gets hot with the hot glue so Be careful, metal gets hot, so I'm going to glue all four together. Once again, I'm going to grab some Dollar sign stickers. tree and this time I'm going to spell the word grow if you have letters that overlap okay it's black you can see the parts on the sides at the top they overlap a little bit you just bend It's over so once it's done this, I'm just going to hang it from each hook and now I have my little vases growing so I really hope you enjoyed those 10 Farmhouse Dollar Tree DIYs.
